there’s two potential ways I’d like a pet to behave.
There’s the hazy-eyed drugged-out empty thing, who lives in a foggy world in its own mind. Comfortable and sleepy. Docile and sedated. Kept calm by its own fuzzy mind and memories. It doesn’t know it deserves better. It doesn’t know it’s been dehumanized or even was once a human. On some level it knows it’s being kept, but the idea of resisting is so distant and uncomfortable that it’s just easier to stay in the cage, no matter how secure it actually is. This pet barely feels the pain, jolting it only momentarily from its haze.
Then there’s the clear-eyed, pissed-off but entirely broken pet. It knows exactly what’s been done to it. It knows it’s been degraded and dehumanized. It knows what it once was, knows it doesn’t deserve that treatment, and would bark and bite if it still believed it would help. It’s docile because it’s given up, but that doesn’t mean it accepts it. It does what it needs to do to survive. Maybe it fears me, but it will protect me anyway. The life it had is gone, the option to get away is gone, and it will at least fight to keep what it has, no matter how much it hates it, hates me for what I’ve done to it.
I’ve kept you empty for a long time now. I’ve let you be hazy and sleepy. But I miss those wild, angry eyes. So you’re gonna come out of your calm and foggy world, okay? I’m going to make you realize what I did to you.
Actually being kidnapped after years of fantasizing about it, having all of my expectations shattered, my trust betrayed, and being scared out of my mind. Begging to be let go and being told this is what I wanted, this is what I asked for.
My captor went through the effort of snooping through all of my socials to gather enough info to be able to take me in the first place, so of course she knew, I was stupid and I ignored all of the signs.
She knew exactly how to drag me in, exactly what to say, exactly how to act, everything fine tuned to lure me into her grasp so I'd never see the sun without her permission again.
Knowing deep down that it's my fault, and promising myself that ill find a way out. Only to be slowly broken in over the course of a few weeks, or maybe a few months. I'll stare in the mirror one day and find myself in the exact position I fantasized being in so long ago. Dead eyed, collared, bound, bruised beyond comprehension, desperate for any ounce of attention, smiling, knowing I've finally found my place.

I wouldn't say that I 'reduced you' to tears. Is this really a reduction? A transformation that highlights the shape of your face, shows new colors in your eyes, and let's you make such lovely little noises for my enjoyment. As I see it, I've elevated you to a thing that cries for my pleasure. Don't you enjoy being so good for me?
A straight woman sees a lesbian making positivity posts for lesbians. She feels insecure because she's not included, so she asks the lesbian if it's okay to be a straight woman. The lesbian would probably get frustrated by this. She might even roll her eyes, or playfully tell her no, it's not okay to be straight. Even though they are both women, it's easy to understand why this interaction was not misogynistic.
A disabled white man sees a disabled black man making positivity posts for disabled black people. He feels insecure because he's not included, so he asks the disabled black man if it's okay to be a disabled white man. The black man would probably get frustrated by this. He might even roll his eyes or playfully tell him no, it's not okay to be white. Even though they are both disabled, it's easy to understand why this interaction was not ableist.
A trans man sees a trans woman making positivity posts for trans women. He feels insecure because he's not included, so he asks the trans woman if it's okay to be a trans man. She gets frustrated. She probably rolls her eyes. She playfully tells him no, it's not okay to be a man. It should be easy to see why there's no issue with this interaction.
But everyone rips her to shreds and tells her she's transphobic anyway.
I feel like I can do just about anything.

Today I think I’m going to try to take my captive out with its mouth taped shut again. We’re planning a party and we need to buy food and things. It doesn’t need to weigh in, I don’t need its opinions. I just need it to carry the grocery basket and stay where I can see it. It’s just too tempting, for a thing being held against its will, to be out of the house and verbal. The part of its brain that hasnt adapted to its new life wants to beg for help. Wants a stranger to save it from me. But I just love my captive so much, I don’t want it to deal with the anxiety of planning potential escapes. So instead I take away its voice. Once it’s kept quiet it becomes docile again. Like a good pet should be.
I support my fellow left-handed people BUT it's important to keep the devil worshippers out of our community. We are already under attack and getting accused of worshipping the devil by fascists, now more than ever we need to keep our groups clean. If you claim to support left-handed but don't include that you reject devil worshippers I'm blocking you on the spot. People will claim to support left-handed but then reblog from well known devil worshippers that have hundreds of pages of proof gathered from years of monitering their activity, and they STILL claim *we* are the danger to left handed people. This is sickening, there are good Christian children out there whose souls are endangered by those people

As a transfem, these days I'm more and more inclined to push violently towards "she/her by default".
While the anonymous they/them (using they/them pronouns for someone whose identity you want to conceal to anonymize) and the "pronouns unknown" they/them have both increasingly taken off in recent years, they both assume there is no violence in being called by they/them and thus inherit the untransmisogynized bias.
(I don't like how willing you are to play word games to cover up my sisters' pain.)
Plus, plenty of people still use he/him by default. I'd like to present a more active resistance.
And for you who see yourself being referred to by she/her as more violent than my being they/themed, I recommend you read the news at least a little. Or just put your pronouns in your bio.
