So this got a few likes so I figured Iād share. Warning for major character death, suicidal ideation, and other general warnings that apply to Danny Phantom as a whole.
When the Nasty Burger explosion happened, somehow Jazz was able to escape. Maybe she was kept separately, a final checkmate piece, maybe she got free but couldnāt free anyone else. The why isnāt important. What is important is Danny still lost everything-and so did Jazz. Just like the canon Ultimate Enemy timeline, Danny goes to Vladās, but this time Jazz is also there. They both lean on each other in grief, but Danny has it way, way worse. He wanted to die. He wished he had died with his friends and family. Jazz helps keep him grounded, and is something to lean on, but he still ultimately came to the conclusion that he wanted to rid himself of Phantom. Maybe it would ease the guilt. Maybe not.
So the same thing happens in canon. Vlad removes Phantom, Phantom flips the script and yanks out Vladās ghost half, Danny dies in the process, and Dan Phantom is born of the two ghost halves.
Except Jazz is still alive.
Jazz and Vlad work together to keep Dan at bay. To protect her home city and Vladās manor. Dan is born of hatred and grief and malice and even Jazz being alive canāt calm him. And Jazz? Oh Jazz hates him. Hates him with a force that should not be reckoned with. This thing killed her little brother, the one thing she cared for most in the world, the only thing she had left.
So about a year after Dannyās death/Danās creation, Jazz tells Vlad she wants to become a Halfa. He fights her on this. For weeks and weeks. He argues with her, because he genuinely cares for her, and cared for Danny too. Heās nicer in this AU, maybe their parents death softened him in some way, I dunno but itās not manipulative, itās genuine. And he knows what itās like to be a Halfa, so he insists on the danger and the cons of it all and begs her not to.
She doesnāt listen, and warns him if he doesnāt help her, she will do it alone. He decides thatās worse.
So, begrudgingly, he sets up the same circumstances of Dannyās experience becoming a Halfa. He has a defibrillator on standby-he will not loose another Fenton on his watch, if it fails.
But it works. She comes out as a Halfa, similar to Danny, but with her own uniform, her own spin on it. Ghostly blue colors, that sorta thing. She wants to use this new power to fight Dan on his level, to protect the town better than a mortal can. Vlad still helps with gear and stuff, and Jazz relies on both gadgets and her newfound powers. Vlad spends a lot of time worrying about her, and teaching her every single thing he knew about being a Halfa. Even half baked theories. She needed every advantage.
Something is still different about Dan, though, when it comes to her. He never uses fully lethal force on her. He never attacks her when her guard is down at Dannyās grave. She swears she saw him there once, in the distance. He kidnaps her, mocks her, kicks her ass more than once, but itās almost likeā¦. Heās playing a role of a villain to her. She is only a nuisance to him. He also never attacks her on the day of Dannyās death. Itās notā¦. Love, itās not brotherly affection, itās not respect. Itās something different, unnameable, and it frustrates the hell out of Jazz.
But yeah thatās the basics, I donāt have ideas on how the events of the episode The Ultimate Enemy happen, I donāt know if Jazz also goes to the other timeline or whatnot, I didnāt get that far. Just explored this doomed timeline.
