the concept of a yeomen of the guard in which Jack Point has a heavily painted face, with a forced smile. throughout the show, trickles of the bold eye makeup track down, until eventually by the finale, he has tear tracks down his entire face, is evidently distraught, but still forced with an unsettling painted smile.
alternatively. same thing but with a mask (adapted for singing, think Phantom's adapted Red Death mask).
it adds another level of dehumanisation to his character wherein he is just a Jester, and a source for entertainment of the masses, rather than a person worthy of respect from a fellow human. and even in his worst, most desperate moment, he's still just a fool who the entire audience look down upon, and see nothing more than a Jester. I think that'd be delicious.
