This is going to come across as so lame. But as someone who lives in Arizona, I’m really proud that it flipped Blue.
It’s really great and I’m genuiley so proud. There are more votes to be counted, so hopefully it will stay Blue (I am nervous about that).
In general, though, yay to Arizona.
But, and I’m not sure how to exactly put this - I don’t like how a lot of the media (currently) seems to have decided that this was a given. That it’s not that big of a deal. It was expected.
I don’t know, it just seems like such a dismissal of all those who really worked hard to make this happen. Just from what I’ve noticed - a lot of people put in a lot of effort into making this happened.
Arizona flipping blue was not a given. At all!
There are a lot of Trump supporters in my area, who are not shy about it at all. I’ve seen more than enough gold carts and trucks proudly displaying that Trump flag…so many. Plus Local buisiness proudly displaying it as well, and so on.
So a big thank you to all those who put so much of their time, energy and effort into making this happen. Thank you to those who simply voted Blue. Thank you to those who waited in those insane lines to cast their ballots and to those who got their mail-in votes in as soon as they could, and to all those currently counting the votes.
I’m just really proud of my state…or more accurately really proud and thankful to all those who made it blue in 2020.
