I also have 2 headcanons/ theories?? About Braun

1) Braun is part of kse's psyche now and I have no idea how that happened?? They don't really bring it up but now that I've given it some thought. Kse's whole merch box powers are actually part of kse aren't they? Well I think so.

So then when kse summoned a demon into the good friend keychain that spawned from the merch box, he wasn't summoning a demon into a doll but into himself. And then when Braun destroyed the original plush all the restrictions that limited Braun were gone.

2) this is more of a word association game than a full on theory. Braun is the Tuesday talk show, Tuesday is written fire day in Korean and that probably why Braun can incinerate ppl alive

But also, the reason it's called fireday is an association with the planet Mars, the same association is in the western names. So Tuesday is actually the day associated with Mars/Ares the god of war.

And when Braun is first summoned he actually calls himself "THE INSTIGATOR OF WAR" .... 👁️ 👄 👁️ Makes u think ...

I mean, I don't actually think he's the god of war, I do think there's some connection tho, he also called himself a "low lying quadreped beast" and I'm still waiting ⌚👈 for him to start crawling on all fours

I love the Sekwang Technical HS arc so much.

This is the first, and so far (ch. 260) only, story Kim Soleum contributed to as a DER author and his addition is just so quintessentially Kim Soleum. It’s so fundamentally kind, with an answer one could only ever find through being unfailingly compassionate at every step-

To even start one has to choose to help one of the entities hunting you, for no other reason than they appear to need help and you can. Then you have to learn how to speak with them, attempt to reach out and understand their situation (this is skipped in gsgw bcs Kim Soleum already knows everything, but this would not be true for anyone else) and care enough about it to want to end their torture.

Yes it might be out of curiosity for another way to solve the darkness, but considering the already well known escape method- I don’t think just anyone would bother with that. Especially not with the true ending’s high entry bar

Then there’s the resolution he wrote, one where through risking life and limb, you get to look these suffering, trapped children in the face and tell them “You’re free, you’ve graduated. It’s over now, you can go home” an answer where you not only release trapped civilians, but save even the entities themselves. The same type of answer we’ve seen Kim Soleum find every time he can in universe, but these are solutions he had to come up with through hints from the DER, what he can actually find in the darkness, and his own creative planning skills-

This is the only time none of that is necessary, because he already wrote the kindest ending

How, from a concept created to explore suffering, pain and horror, did they get the one guy who had been trying to write kindness into the fabric of their universe from the very beginning?
