Working at a sex store allows a person to tell a customer ‘go fuck yourself’.
On today’s episode of “do I hate my job that much or am I just hangry”, we cover people bitching about how “impossible” self checkout machines are to work and my internal struggle to not tell them it’s literally the easiest fucking thing to work since the toaster was invented
alternatively, customer service reps should also be able to tackle/kill you if you look at them the wrong way
So we just had the best prank caller ever.
My coworker answered the phone, and he started playing music. She didn’t like it, so she left him on hold until he hung up.
The stars answered my prayer and he called back again, this time I answered. “What kind of music do you like?” “This kind:”
And I blasted this https://youtu.be/NUDls2PgDUY (starting at 2:40 )
😂He hung up 😂
He calls back again, Stacie answers and she tells him to play Shakira 😂😂
I’m not the fucking manager.
That was not my fucking problem to solve.
Yet out of all the 100+ employees that have been working in this goddamn store for the last 4 months,
I
Am the one who got so fucking fed up and initiated a solution my goddamn self. Didn’t ask permission from anybody, I just parked my fat ass back there and spent 45 minutes of my time, making this problem significantly less of a fucking problem.
Finally got to tell my manager what I did to help, and all she said was
“yeah, they needed to be.” And walked away.
So. Like. If you knew that was solution, why did you not tell anyone to do it three fucking months ago? Why did you wait for a cashier to do it herself and waste 45 minutes that could’ve been spent doing important shit?
It's been about a week, and guess what?
Every single TV has been unclipped.
Every single TV I spent my entire last shift locking down, is free reign now.
So you know what? I don't care anymore. Fuck it. They wanna let this store go under, be my guest.
When one of your customers spanks your ass
i thought it was about working in retail omg
That sounds exactly like working in retail
“Clients always have the benefit of the doubt, you know that.”
- SOME PUNK ASS BIT.
TO ME.
IN WALMART
AT 12:30 IN THE FUCKING MORNING.
HOMIE. IF CLIENTS HAD THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, WHY THE FUCK WOULD WE HAVE SECURITY IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I CANNOT WITH THIS RN.
What if life had loading screens.
You walk into Walmart, and it’s just like
Wonder what it would like like for someone who worked there??
I’m not the fucking manager.

yall ever worked in retail
I just went outside to catch a thief and realized I didn't have my walkie or my phone to record them, and was literally so caught off guard by their slow pace and my lack of equipment that I just stood there and said "excuse me.... You know that's not yours, right?" And he just kinda stared at me, then took off with what he stole.

Look, all I'm saying is that if Walmart keeps this shit up, they'll have no employees left to stay open.
A new thing I'm gonna try:
Customer: *makes inappropriate comment or is attempting to flirt in a very creepy/perverse way*
Me: .... SO, have you seen that new Gillette commercial?? Made a really strong point, I'd say.
Me: your total is $66.44
Lady: *hands me her card*
Me: you have to insert the chip
Lady: *swipes it*
Computer: *wigs out cuz someone swiped a chip card*
Me: *pressing the clear button a million times* No, you have to insert the chip. On the bottom?
Lady: *struggles a minute, then gets it*
Lady: Cash? *Takes out card*
Me: it didn't ask you for cash back?
Lady: No....
Lady's mom: *swipes card again*
Me: *sighs pressing the clear button another million times*
Me: *walks around the register* *inserts her card the right way, screen asks her for cash back* Do you want cash back, yes. *I hit yes* go ahead and follow the prompts.
Lady: *standing there confused*
Lady: No, I want to pay with cash.
Me: ................................................................
Customer: *spends 2 hours walking around the store*
Customer: I've gotta wait in line for 5 minutes?!
Customer: *abandons cart*
