hope you don't mind me bringing this topic here. i'm not good at being concise and i hate strawpage character limit lol.

anyways, i visited gossipthings a lot during 2024-2025 so i'm no stranger to foah and the shippers but the way they spiral on twitter in the past few months really gets me concerned.

i know this is a very redundant observation (like duh) but just to put it out here: no matter how hard we try to drill into their heads that certain things they do aren't alright, it's never gonna sink in because it's not about foah, finn, or noah. like that maybe the subjects of discussion and something they talk about all day, but that is just the surface level. this probably doesn't apply to all but for some extreme cases i'm quite certain. it's more about what their so-called relationship represents to those people: an emotional anchor that promises certainty, control, omniscience, validation, healing, and a bit of superiority too (if you take into account all the "can't wait for the HL, noah solos are gonna eat their words". if not for that, it's very easy to stop at enjoying the interactions we actually saw and just wonder about it (like how i was before), instead of trying to connect the dots and create all sorts of narrative. and then screech/ fight/ bully/ you name it whenever someone questions the stuff they do, as if this is an existential issue, rather than just fandom etiquette and common sense.

also, the way they function, with some big accounts as leaders and how the followers will spam their strawpage asking for assurance every time there is doubt, really gets my inner alarm bell ringing lol.

hihi, no worries! some of the foahs I’ve seen are alarmingly far gone. like the person you mentioned, they won’t listen to reason or different perspectives. according to them, Finn is 100% queer and in a relationship with Noah, and they’ve been together for 2 years 🥴

I’ve had a few foahs tell me I’m a terrible bigot for being unable to see Finn as anything but straight lmao. Finn is just like Timothee Chalamet… the fans think TC is all broody, queer and mysterious but he’s just a man who likes pretty women like Lily Rose and Kylie Jenner, lol.

killed off one of your titleship characters because you didn't wanted to pay the actor more money using the excuse of realism but starts the next season with a costly cgi-heavy storyline because you sent your emergency service characters to literally space. implied one man might be in love with another for fun and profit and then you decide to sideline their entire friendship in the next season because now there's an elephant every time they're in the same room and you don't want to add more gay people to your show. also, it can't focus on romance! except we're going to make a het couple who never interacted before canon. speaking about that: lets return two child characters as now adults except the brother gets the main character treatment and 50% of new storylines and the main sister only gets brought in when her brother or boyfriend are jealous. inumerable hiatuses throughout the episodes killing any type of consistency or momentum in the storylines. the big finale of the season, which, again, started in space, is about the russian mob. a main character gets a son in the last two episodes. he also was struggling with addiction like two episodes ago, but it's all right now. and one of the other main characters also had a chronic illness. but she's also alright now! don't you like our character heavy ensemble show :)
