if you ever see me post an AI generated image, please assume it is because I am fucking stupid and not because I support and use generative AI. the search results on many search engines and picture sharing websites are absolutely infested with AI and I do my very best to avoid AI generated images but there is always the possibility that I will not notice because, again, I am not terribly observant and I don’t have good eyesight. Please listen to the communities you are learning to treat. Please do not take things at face value. Please understand that many of these studies have biases within them and are not 100% reliable.

Prioritize autonomy and consent. Understand that no condition or variation inherently makes someone right or wrong. Understand that there is no such thing as a "good body/mind" or "bad body/mind", but just a body/mind that has different needs.

Remember, for most conditions/variations, a "cure" is unnecessary. Usually treatments or accommodations are a better route.

well "I'm sorry I'm in a rush" is a pretty good option or "I can't talk right now, sorry" and then move on.

psychotic people, ultimately, are people. they are just as human as you are and the vast vast vast majority of the time they're not interested in hurting you.

when you're approached by a psychotic person ranting about delusions or hallucinations (and possibly speaking with disorganized speech) they are just looking for human connection, that's all. they might not have many people around to talk to and it gets lonely. when someone talks to you about a secret society of mind readers out to kill them they are just trying to connect with people and sometimes process the fear they're experiencing (because a secret society of mind readers out to kill you is rather scary!)

things like mania can also make you very talkative and very social.

someone coming up to you to talk about being the second coming of Jesus isn't trying to hurt you. they just want to talk. if you have time then have a conversation, most of the time you don't even need to say much. you can politely nod and go "wow that's crazy" and "that's so scary" and it might be one of the kindest things someone does for them that day. if you don't have time just say you're in a rush and leave.

he would not fucking say that, but with disability.. he would not fucking be able bodied. sick n tired of characters walking away from multiple life changing injuries without a scratch. let’s get some natural consequences in here.

give that knife/sword fight survivor nerve damage. give the character who was shot in the gut a stoma. give that fire survivor lung damage and an oxygen cannula. give that leg injury survivor a cane. give that starvation survivor gastroparesis. give that spinal injury survivor a manual chair or powerchair.

while we’re at it, give your characters congenital disabilities too, just because. give them intellectual and development disabilities. give them acquired and postviral illnesses. dare to make somebody bedbound. for me.

Why is it always "chronic illness girlies 🥰" or "all the girls with cute mobility aids 😍" and "badass women battling chronic illness ✌️"? Why is so much of online chronic illness community and advocacy reliant on fitting into the feminine ideals? And I'm not even talking about stuff like chronic illness talks whilst doing makeup or how to have cute fem outfits that work around disability aids and devices. Those are both good things to exist! I mean the constant referring to people with chronic illnesses as women and girls and girlies and babes and so on and so forth. There's an underlying assumption in a lot of chronic illness spaces that everyone will be women. Plus so many of the popular chronic illness influencers will dress up pretty and talk in a really high voice (all in the exact same specific way honestly that I get is an attempt to make yourself more palatable to able-bodied people but is also slightly scary when you realise everyone does it). And not going to lie, 90% of the time they're white Americans (because white western women are viewed as the most feminine and the best at performing womanhood). There are people that don't fit into this stereotype but they're much smaller creators and there's far fewer of them and they're often not believed *by other disabled people*. I just want to engage in community without being told I can't be there because I'm not a woman. And I know at least some of it is because women are less likely to be believed by doctors so will go untreated for longer and have complications or stacking conditions. But surely in the year of someone's Lord 2026 we know that not only women face these issues, right?

Some things I discovered while making this list:

The turtles are consistently shorter than the average person.

Rottmnt and MM are the ones whose heights are closest to those of average teenagers.

The 87' and 03' versions are all the same height at the start of their series.

The 03' versions are actually shorter than most turtles from later versions.

Only 03' Mikey is taller than his other versions.

12' Donnie is the tallest of all his versions.

rottmnt Leo and MM Leo are the same height.

Excluding rottmnt Raph, MM Raph is much taller than the other versions.

rottmnt Mikey is the shortest turtle of all.

rottmnt Raph is the tallest turtle of all.
