Lost on the bottom of a teenage mind

I couldn’t see clearly, not anymore. 

The strange feeling wouldn’t go away on its own.

I knew what I had to do. Deep down I always knew.

My whole life was a lie.

But when I recognised it I was horrified. Frightened and startled.

I recognized feelings I couldn’t even think of. Feelings I didn’t know what to do with.

I tried to deal with them on my own. I had to because I didn't got any help.

I screamed it into their shameful faces. But still nothing happened. 

How can you be so unsuspecting when you see all the signs? 

How would I have turned out if I was unchained? I wonder. 

The day was here. The day I finally got unbound from those feelings. 

And the shameful faces? They said they were clearless. 

But only if they wouldn’t have looked away. Maybe then they would have known.

Maybe we're all not as haphazardly as we think. If only we all would look twice.

Don’t ignore the signs or it's going to be too late.
