Hi. The Names Lara. I'm a 24 yr. old hobby artist who is just setting this whole tumblr thingy up.. so.. be patient. :) 🌞 Asides from drawing I love music. A looot of different styles of music.. and dancing; Afro Latin Dances and electro swing. Aaand I love Animals. My favourites are Manta rays! I am also really into botanics. I loooove plants! And I am huge nerd! As well as an Otaku. I'm really into Technical Stuff, PCs, new IT Technology (Sysadmin probs.. oh well😅) as well as the News in Scientific Inventions! Astrology and Physics are probably my fav. buuuut Geology and Nautical Navigation are fascinating too! I also enjoy watching the ISS live streams. I also love anime and manga! Aaaaand Japan! That's why I started to learn Japanese. Asides from nerdy stuff I also really like sports! Gyms not so much. But Martial Arts and Bouldern and Hiking! I'm also pretty fond of freestyle slalom skating. My favourite season's the spring! It always smells sooo good of flowers.. or its autumn.. the color of the leaves, and foggy mornings are amazing to watch! Summer is awesome too! It's amazing how the sun raises everyones spirits...not to mention the barbecue party's! But I also really like the snow during winter time as well the chilling, cold air and Frozen landscapes! I am sorry for writing a loooot more than I intended to. Really. It's true 🤣 All in all, my friends usually describe me as "a little, hangry sunflower". Dunno if that's true buuuut I'll definitely become angry as soon as I am hungry..eh.. Weird flex. Sorry 😂🙏 Don't be shy to comment or pm me, I am looking forward to hear from you beautiful person☺️🌞

Also: I dare you. I double dare you my friends. NEVER quit a painting because it doesn't ad up well right from the very beginning! Sometimes - or in my case, most of the times😂😂 - there is a lot of tweeking perspectives / anatomy around involved. Steps u usually don't get to see in the finished painting 🙂
So... I can say now: I reaaaally do like the process here😊🙏

I did it. I did it. Haha. I reaaaally managed to finish the complete painting 😭🥳
I am really rarely hyping my own work but JEEEEEZ. YES! I AM hyping this one. Soooo much it's almost embarrassing. 😬
Not entirely because of the result itself but because the process of the entire painting proved to be a huge challenge and myself.
I don't know how you feel out there, but sticking to digital painting has always been really hard for me. I am an skilled, confident traditional Artist, as long as I can hold a pencil. But painting digitally.. I always felt like not moving forwards at all.. if not, even moving backwards. At a faster pace than making any sort of progress.
So, I couldn't be happier right now! I really couldn't. It's just not possible 😬
I originally started with a simple sketch, and the pose I had in mind was already more than challenging enough as it was. Since I am pretty much a complete idiot when it comes to human anatomy😅 really, I've got NO sense of it AT ALL. (I'll let you peek into one of my sketch books soon (: )
Somewhere along the way I decided to forget about any sort of result, just wanting to see how far I could push this, if I'd not limit myself.
And this is what happened. And I love it. And it was so, sooooo much fun to do!
I cant create the composition nor the Color palette required for that at the moment. But I will improve! ☺️
And even more so: I'll enjoy everything on this process 🙏🤩
So instead of beeng overly self critical: let's start this week with appreciating what we've accomplished so far! The one step, maybe even just a single millimetre, we've gotten closer to our goals. ❤️

Normally I’d definitely say the pose itself as I am sort of incapable of getting the hang of human anatomy… But in this one… I might be going with the perspective instead hahaha😂😂

At my place, it’s been 20°C the other day, windy af in the evening, sunny during todays morning and just now we’ve had a freaking mix of snow storm and icy rain. Wtf is dis?! 😂😅
When you don't want to get up from your couch but you also wanna do some painting but the graphic tablet and the computer seem too far away..
One of these days, I might just become friends with Procreate 🤣
However, I generally suck(!!) at edge control in almost every digital painting.....and Procreate certainly DOES NOT make this any easier for me. Soo.. never mind the edges😭🤣
Maybe I should consider finishing my drawings once in a while instead of leaving 'em in the state of some whobbly WIPs... 🤣🤣

Note to myself: look up references BEFORE you start. At least before throwing in the colours..I forgot about Midoriyas red belt. Now it looks super crappy and it probably ruined the overall dynamics. I'll need to fix that at some point. 🤣

I took the liberty and decided to kinda make this post a short introduction of myself and what's this all about etc :)
As stated in the description of this Acc, I am an hobby artist with a passion for quite a lot of things - mostly different kinds of art. So, this is basically what I'll be sharing here most of the time.
I love drawing, painting, digital art in general and have recently been trying to get the hang of matte painting and photobashing. At one point, I also figured I might be interested in doing this stuff professionally, as an employee or maybe one day as an freelance artist. Although I am not sure if this will ever be my main goal, since I currently have a reaaaally nice job which I totally enjoy doing - I am employed as an IT Systemadministrator on the brink to becoming a System Engineer for Backup and Storage Infrastructure... And it's suuuuuper awesome.😊 nevertheless do I want to improve and sort of wanna share this process with others. 😊
There are a lot of professional, reaaaally really good artists out there that I personally love to look up and follow etc. However. Quite some years ago,I got incredible frustrated because almost every piece of art I saw online, was just to perfect. Even compared to a pros scribbles etc: my creations always seemed to suck. :'D I eventually wanted to share my drawings anyway, but started to felt more and more "pressured" to only show "the good, perfect stuff" and ended up not sharing anything at all. :D
Well, no one's born as an artist, professional etc. So, who cares about the so called Socialmedia-perfection anyway?! :D
What I wanna share here are drawings, doodles, commissions, sketches, failed attempts to do whatsoever and the way those "failed one's" helped me get better - Instead of only showing the "finished projects"....which doesn't mean u won't get to see the stuff i am reaaaally really proud of, of course 😁🤣
But,more about that sometimes later :-)
