I've gone. Not one for goodbyes, I thought it best to slip out quietly. Love to you all, Giles.
Rest in peace, Anthony Stewart Head (1954 – 2026)
I think it's insane that even in the most leftist and "progressive" spaces the idea of equating morality with looks is alive and present and no one fucking bats an eye at it. like racists and mysoginysts are always portrayed as fat and hairy and generally unkept, as a contrast to the morally good and attractive leftists of course; people will have no problem being genuinely fucking awful about someone's appearance if they're deemed to be a "bad person". and the worst part is you point all of this out and people act like you're reading too much into things like no dude you gotta start using your brain more
its kind of distressing how you can tell a lot of people see popular indie artists and writers and such as like "a Celebrity but one which i stand a half decent chance of bullying to death"
happy pride month to chlodine specifically

Ever think about how the empire’s royal line got created out of Sigmar being dommed out of his mind
Spill the tea NOW
Karl Franz is mentioned to be Sigmar’s descendant. Sigmar only had two living descendants, twins, Fridleifr and Sigulf.
We know Sigmar never had more kids because he canonically only had sex twice in his life - once with his childhood sweetheart before she was murdered by her brother, the man who’d become the first Everchosen of Chaos, and with Freya, Queen of the Asoborns, a warrior tribe mainly defined by their matrilineal culture and their fearsome war chariots.
Freya bore those twins and got pregnant after a night that left Sigmar more bruised and exhausted than many a battle he fought where he submitted to her total control.
Sigmar never acknowledged the twins as his in life, partially due to loyalty to his deceased fiancée, partially because he wanted all of the Empire to be his children, and partially because it’d be a conflict of laws - he was from the patrilineal Unberogen and claiming the sons would bring their laws in conflict with the matrilineal Asoborns.
But the fact that Karl Franz is mentioned specifically to be his descendant, it means that his line must come from either Fridleifr or Sigulf.
extremely based, thank u James workshop
I remember really enjoying the Sigmar books by Graham McNeill! I remember the Asoborns fondly 💖
Important question: are his Fantasy books as homoerotic as his 40k books?
If you EVER think Anthony Head is anything less than an angel then you’d best remember that I have always been a huge fan of his and we’ve always had a little contact over the years and he heard I’d come out as Trans and was having a hard time and that I was kind of sad that the photos I had from conventions with him were of me with long hair and no binder and they were all signed to “Sarah” and so he invited me to spend the day with him at his farm and he picked me up from the station and we just hung out and had lunch and he insisted on paying and took loads of photos and had them printed on photo paper the same day so he could sign them to Jay, along with other photos of him as Giles and Uther and he literally spent five hours chatting with me and got all of the pronoun stuff right every time and then he dropped me off at the station, gave me a final massive hug, waved me through the ticket barrier and insisted I message him when I got home so he knew I got back safe. (More HERE)
With Anthony Stewart Head passing away, worth remembering one of my favorite stories about him.

I feel like I need to share this because idk if Europeans are familiar with the presence of Aldi in the US, but at least especially in my area they’ve been growing a lot recently. Like Aldi bought out some local failing grocery chains where I live (Louisiana) and have opened Aldis in all these somewhat rural communities and small towns, which for the record I’m fine with
But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base. They gave us a cowboy
Here he is, the Aldi Cowboy
The British actor, who also appeared in Merlin and Little Britain, died of complications from pneumonia.
Well... shit.
RIP Anthony Head, thank you for some amazing television, and one very memorable performance as Frank in the Rocky Horror Show I saw in the Piccadilly Theatre in... 1990 I think.
Its funny how the MCU stripped away everything that made Hawkeye an unique and interesting character in the comics and just made him a boring white guy with a family. He was a circus freak, thats why he is so acrobatic and loud mouthed, he was an entertainer, and then a villain for a little bit, and then an avenger. But MCU Hawkeye is the most wet blankst of a character ever. Its surprising how many people like him.
This.
She diva-fied him...
I saw a post about how weird it was an eldar cried watching some bonesingers work because wraithbone is supposed to ao mundane that literaly next to everything the asuryani have is made of it, and I know i just got here but like...
You think its weird an eldar--a member of a species of sense freaks whose emotional volatility is so extreme most of them choose to voluntarily repress themselves because the last time they let their collective hair down they made a demon goddess who makes the cenobites look vanilla and wants to eat their souls--was moved to tears after shifting her mind partially to the astral sea of raw emotion and magic to watch a group of master craftsmen who have studied and trained to do this for probably literal centuries sing entire additions to a planet-sized spaceship out of thin air and literal crystallized space magic?
It might be off base cause I just got here but I think it's well within the realm of possibility for an eldar to be moved to tears watching a peerless but otherwise mundane craftsman make a sculpture or weave a tapestry. I think in the right circumstances you could get an eldar to cry about rain sluicing off a window or a line of ants.
I think abt this tiktok all the time
