At the sound of his voice, she at first didnât believe her ears: he promptly refused the other girlâs invitation and accepted hers. Cheeks reddened at the thought of finally being able to have lunch with her dearest friend, the blonde girl just managed to hint a brief smile before actually realized he was standing right next to her desk, ready to follow her wherever she wanted to set for have their lunch together. What an unexpected turn of the events, she profoundly thought to herself as she slowly moved forward, the raven-haired boy swiftly followed her paces as she was out of their class, now the two of them walked side by side, Cynthia still uncertain about their destination.
âSo âhow the rooftop sounds?â she attempted to suggest a place for their meal, the young swimmer apparently didnât seem to be contrary, nay, he seemingly briefly nodded at her speaking, a fleeting smile that made the blonde woman flush a little more. âThen, letâs proceed this way.â
The two of them proceeded throughout the whole hallway, till they reached a whitish stairway, the one which led to the roof of the scholastic building; Cynthia practically knew every single place of the academy, not a room was unknown to the blonde girl as she usually tended to stroll around the corridors most of the time âshe likes to walk when she reads or she studies, itâs probably just a strange habit of hers.
Gingerly climbing the very last step, the couple finally reached a glass door, a gentle pull of the handle and the door opened, letting a light breeze invest the two slender figures, blonde hair fluttering in the air as she proceeded outside the building. âHere we are âoh, and there is no one around apparently. How strange.â she commented, a speedy look around just to make sure she was correct; it really was odd that no one was around at this hour âbut letâs just say it was a fluke, right?
âAnd by the wayââ she slowly turned toward him, few paces distanced them, âThanks for having accepted my invitation, this time.â she trailed a little, a soft giggle spread from her mouth, echoing in the lonesome rooftop, just the two of us, no one around. âIt means a lot, you know?â she absolutely didnât intend to be cryptic or anything, just her true self, as she always has been with him.Â
