the fact that people expect a woman to suffer thru unwanted sex more often than they expect a man to suffer thru no sex says all you need to know about how society (mostly men, but women do it as well) sees women and their role in the relationship.

Oh my god I have never seen a feminist so perfectly describe and analyze romance fiction. Maybe more older radfems are based and Get It but I'm sorry, most younger rads don't get this at all cause they have no exposure to this shit.
it also starts really early irl with girls being told that boys' physical aggression against them is "he likes you he just doesn't know how to express it"

Frankly. I think recent generations are under the impression that basic civility, both in the basic principal of the thing and as a social mechanism to maintain goodwill and avoid pointless fighting, is an antiquated form of moral and social weakness. They probably don't even think about it enough to verbalize that, but there were enough doing it for those reasons with enough following suit that nobody gets why it was ever a thing in the first place. And that's why they can't parse anything JK Rowling does.
Cursed Child turned out horribly and she hasn't publicly castigated the author???? This could never be anything but a ringing endorsement, that stupid bitch ruined Harry Potter and never understood it in the first place!!!!!! She said "Thank you" when a conservative woman complemented her instead of biting her head off???? Oh my God, she's a secret Nazi!!!!
There's no such thing as being civil and genial with someone you disagree with, either by principal, or to just be fucking nice to someone you're working with, or to avoid making the people touched by your activism even smaller for no reason, or to just fucking let things go that won't help, so of course she's some kind of manipulative she-devil.
This, plus people are addicted to the outrage. When everything is so political as it is nowadays, even basic civility towards people who you disagree with is bad, because it is read as some kind of endorsement.
You have to be hostile towards the people you disagree with 24/7, even in the most basic interactions, according to these people.
A U.N. report says Taliban officials are sending Afghan women to prison to protect them from gender-based violence.
"Taliban sending Afghan women to prison to protect them from gender **sex-based violence"
ISLAMABAD (AP) — Taliban officials are sending Afghan women to prison to protect them from gender sex-based violence, according to a U.N. report published Thursday.
Before the Taliban seized power in 2021, there were 23 state-sponsored women protection centers in Afghanistan where survivors of gender sex-based violence could seek refuge. Now there are none, the U.N. report said.
Officials from the Taliban-led administration told the U.N. Assistance Mission in Afghanistan that there was no need for such shelters or that they were a Western concept.
The Taliban sends women to prison if they have no male relatives to stay with or if the male relatives are considered unsafe, the report said. Authorities have also asked male relatives for commitments or sworn statements that they will not harm a female relative, inviting local elders to witness the guarantee, it added.
Women are sent to prison for their protection “akin to how prisons have been used to accommodate drug addicts and homeless people in Kabul,” the report said. The Associated Press contacted Taliban-led ministries about where survivors of gender sex-based violence can seek help, what protection measures are in place, and the conviction rates for offenders, but nobody was available for comment.
Women and girls have been increasingly confined to their homes since the Taliban takeover in 2021. They are barred from education beyond sixth grade, including university, public spaces like parks, and most jobs. They are required to take a male chaperone with them on journeys of more than 72 km (45 miles) and follow a dress code. A Taliban decree in July ordered the closure of all beauty salons, one of the few remaining places that women could go to outside the home or family environment. But Afghanistan has, for years, ranked among the worst places in the world to be born female. Millions of girls were out of school before the Taliban takeover for cultural and other reasons. Child marriage, violence and abuse were widespread. Rights groups warned that Taliban rule would enable violence against women and girls and decimate any legal protections for them. Women are no longer working in the judiciary or law enforcement, not allowed to deal with crimes of gender sex-based violence, and only permitted to attend work when called upon by their male supervisors, according to the U.N. report.

still thinking about this because I really feel like it's almost a perfect microcosm of what gender has become for girls and young women. you've got the trans-identified females keeping each other in check for transphobic comments, not knowing the difference between the social construct of femininity and the term female, ascribing transmasc and nonbinary identities to any woman they deem not feminine correctly enough to be a woman, reducing sexuality to an aesthetic, and saying slurs – specifically the f slur, because they love saying the f slur.
the last person's tweet is especially ridiculous to me. I think because their tweet is basically incomprehensible it almost sounds like they're onto a radfem take in the begining, but they're not. what they're attempting to say is that anyone can wear anything regardless of gender, which is why you should "get help" if you say this woman is a woman.
another thing i want to point out is the person saying shauna and nat are “transmasc” and jackie and lottie are “transfem”. obvious gender roles in that statement, because jackie and lottie are both more “feminine” and shauna and nat are more “masculine” (they’re not even that gnc but i guess?? compared to the other characters mentioned)
also a lot of these people ship lottie/nat and jackie/shauna and it’s just interesting to me that these people want to make what would be a same sex ship straight.

A 23 year old detrans woman has been posting her story on Twitter/X. This is how a TIF responded.
I’m honestly sick to my stomach. No I don’t care if this was trolling/baiting a reaction, it’s not funny and it shouldn’t be ignored or dismissed. Also do tifs think that posting rape threats makes them men?🥴
