My lack of activity is due to the fact I’m writing a dissertation on Cosplay. Yep it’s not really an academic area of study and is often seen as childish/ridiculous/a waste of time WHICH is why i’m doing my dissertation on it to prove that in fact it is neither of those things. SO IF YOU ARE A COSPLAYER or happen to know anyone that Cosplays (doesn’t matter if you do it every day or once a year) and are willing to be interviewed then please get in touch! The interview will be Ethnographic so it will literally just be a chat between you and me with a few guiding questions to cover the area’s I need. Please come and talk to me and help me prove to all the stuffy academics and prune nosed idiots that Cosplay is much more than ‘childish’ or ‘wasting time’, that it’s art and an escape and a way to meet people! You know what’s not cool? Coming into my ask and telling me to give up Jackson and to stop hogging people. I don’t know where anyone gets off saying something like that but it is not on. For one, you have no idea how difficult it is to keep a muse this long with no new information because he’s no longer in the show. You have no idea how many other Jackson’s, Erica’s, Boyd’s etc have come and gone. I made Jackson after I watched season 1 and 2 on DVD not realising Colton had left. It’s extremely difficult to keep a muse for close to ten months like that in a fandom that forgets characters as soon as their heart stops. You have no idea what it’s like to not be able to participate in Au’s and episode plots because Jackson doesn’t count. There’s like three other Jackson’s who know exactly what I’m talking about, it’s hard work and rewarding because you find gems of writers who stick around, but don’t you dare come into my ask and tell me to leave. It’s not my problem if you can’t get people to write with you and with an attitude like that it’s no fucking wonder. And hogging people? Clearly there’s someone I write with that you don’t so maybe instead if being a fucking asshole you should look in the mirror then talk to them so stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
