i learned later that the feral horses do shakedowns on Assateague Island because a lot of dumbass people will try to feed the horses from their cars. and because these horses are descended from domesticated horses abandoned on the island they’re not shy around humans at all. had to sit 40 minutes in my car before they all moved. i just wanted to get to my campsite.

life after an eating disorder. experience and advice. you’re not alone.
honestly, best writing i have read. i am awe of the writing style, the organization, analysis, conclusions, pacing - just masterful. sharp commentary and critiques of cultures and cinema.

• creeping of the slow freeze •
the passing mornings are growing cold
and it’s getting hard to get up, truth be told
the big sad arrives sooner each year, worse tenfold
creeping, consuming, settling into corners and folds
the coldest blanket, a sinister critic too bold
i dread the slow freeze of despair so old
but i’ll enjoy the last of fading light until it too turns cold
