Being isolated for most of their life, Novella has grown to love the hustle and bustle of those around her. From those laughing at a cheesy joke, to choked sobs of heartbreak, she cherishes each and every emotion humans express. After all, seeing them in person feels much different then simply reading about such things.
Sadly, this means the ‘girl’ is quite dense at times, causing people to snap at them frequently from anger or frustration. Unfortunately, this simply makes them more curious as to why said person acted in such a way. Was it because it was part of the script? Will this help with the plot later? Are one of their character traits to be short tempered?
Novella may love many aspects of human life but you can’t have light without dark. Fear was something that always piqued the interest of the literary deity. How can a culture that created such beautiful stories feel something so horrid? It was only when her shrine was burnt down for housing heretic beliefs, did that horrible feeling take root in her heart.
Was it hedonistic of her to want to protect each tale and belief passed on, no matter how ridiculous or outlandish the idea? Was it truly necessary to burn her at the stake beside many others for simply holding such information? She didn’t understand. The naive deity never thought her story as tragic or painful. Simple, maybe but never less and never more.
The notes written by humans will sometimes appear upon her skin like a tattoo. Traditionally they appear on her arms, chest, or back but always disappear within a few hours.
She used to live in a cave that resided below her shrine. Now she found a new home within a tree trunk, surrounded by shelves that are always stocked to the brim.
Being the deity of Books and Writing she never runs out of anything to read. Though she has also gained the bad habit of not finishing what she already started.
“Hello traveler! It’s a pleasure to meet you. Care to trade tales? Or do you believe your stories aren’t worth telling because I can assure you that every story deserves to be told, especially yours. So, please don’t forget that.”
