Tsubaki got so disrespected by soul eater fans like yes she is the mom friend but that is borne of her deliberately making herself as accommodating and small and passive as possible because of her insane brother… she is trained in martial arts, uniquely has several weapon forms including one that literally drains the user, has a fun little list of what it takes to be an assassin, was the first character in the story to take down a high level threat, scores high in her class, and is the only person not only able to handle blackstar as a meister but also is insane enough to actively encourage him. I will not accept the “Tsubaki is just a nice polite girl” slander you all just refuse to actually evaluate the character. She is so much more.

Rumi had better reasons to keep her secret than Vaggie.

Vaggie/Chaggie fans DNI.

With Rumi, Celine engraved into her mind that her demon patterns are something to be ashamed of. That it's something she needs fixed in order to be "perfect" and loved. And it also doesn't help that Mira (And Zoey to some extent) openly express how they hate demons and how they want to get rid of them, so that also made it difficult for Rumi to open up and tell them the truth.

And when her patterns get exposed, her worst fears were realized when Mira and Zoey drew their weapons at her while expressing their disappointment in how she never told them. So with these pieces in mind, we can understand why Rumi would want to hide her patterns and try to find a way to get rid of them for good so she can finally stop hiding. It doesn't justify her lying to her friends, but we can understand her fears.

But with Vaggie, she had absolutely no reason to hide the fact that she was an exorcist angel from her own girlfriend. We barely get anything of her backstory to explain why she acts or thinks the way she does, and what we DO get is vague and shallow.

She's been with Charlie for 3 years, she would've been able to see what kind of person Charlie was at that time and would've known she wouldn't have judged or thought of her any less if she had just told her the truth.

In fact, this probably would've excited Charlie because it would show her that not ALL exorcist angels are bloodthirsty and that some of them can change too if allowed the same freedom Vaggie got after being cast out. And it's not like there would've been consequences if this secret got out, since Hazbin and Helluva proven time and time again that the actions of our main characters don't actually matter in the long run.

And I reiterate, that realistically, something like lying to your partner about who you really are with zero indication of eventually telling you... should be grounds for a breakup.

Vaggie really had no good reason to keep her secret and shows how little faith and trust she has in Charlie.
