chipped
Man, this is such a perfect analogy. “Chipped”… Just damaged enough for it to show at times, but not nearly broken enough to warrant fixing. And so often does the chipped cup turn itself to show its undamaged side.
someone put it in words
i love this. this is a beautiful way of setting out how a lot of people feel
I have seen this post some 50 times and everytime I softly whispered ‘Fuck’ to myself cuz it hits SO close to home

The thing about this is that children are vastly more likely to be abused by family members, yet we have created this environment where unrelated strangers, primarily men, are terrified to interact with children lest they be accused of being pedophiles/kidnappers.
You know who that benefits? Not the children. It benefits abusers in their families by isolating the children being abused and making them afraid to reach out to anyone outside the family because they've been indoctrinated to believe that strangers are *worse*.
So many of the things we do in the US in the name of safety do not protect vulnerable people at all but they sure do make it easier for vulnerable people like children to be abused.
pick the one you need to hear the most, then reblog it to pass it on
you'll be alright. you're safe. it'll all be okay.
you are important. you matter.
it will get better. YOU will get better. it just takes time.
you are not unlovable. you are worthy of love.
you can put yourself first. it's okay to be selfish every now and then.
you don't have to shoulder your burdens alone.
i'm proud of who you've become.
you're not obligated to please everyone.
it's okay to be vulnerable. there's nothing wrong with crying.
your scars don't make you any less beautiful.
it wasn't your fault. you were a child.
i trust you.
i know its already been said more eloquently but it really is insane that boeing can just...have a whistleblower executed mid-trial. its not gonna be in the news cycle, no one's gonna bother reporting on it - much less accusing them in a formal manner of killing him - in a few months no one's gonna remember it and everyone's gonna keep flying on their planes
can you imagine if this happened in a non-western country? like imagine if someone in malaysia investigating flight 370 got mysteriously disappeared right before they could conclude revealing the results of their investigation - there would be an international outcry, probably an international investigation like there was for the flight itself - but because this happened to an american industry, to a company with its fingers so deep in american regulatory organizations, we'll probably never find out what happened
Prior to his death, whistleblower John Barnett was testifying against Boeing over concerns about standards.
This comment was in response to Israel accusing the ICJ court of "antisemitic biases" after they delivered their ruling.
Don’t forget that Isre@ls holocuast survivors live in poverty.
They do not care about antisemitism, they care about a genocide scapegoat
