Since I’m seeing a lot of “male loneliness epidemic” stuff on my feed (it’s complaining about talking about it, not the thing itself which makes me think y’all are overexposing and platforming a discourse that doesn’t need exposure or a platform), I got two pieces of advice:

Fellas, stop taking dating advice from male YouTubers and start taking it from white women talking about how they got through breakups.

Ladies, quit giving men dating advice you would never in a million years give to another woman.

The point isn't "stop criticizing indie artists" or "defend your favorite show under this post". I don't even watch Digital Circus and no one is above criticism. Literally every indie show is getting torn to shreds on twitter right now and I'm not saying this to defend anyone I don't know. The point is "someone who actually has the power to kill us all and get away with it deserves way more ire and accountability than a cartoonist and I expect grown adults to understand this"

I have seen people who I share most political views with defend politicians with a logic of “hey, he’s just one guy, what is he supposed to do?” and they might do more if you were criticizing them. I follow college football, and Alabama fans have wanted their coach fired last year because he lost 3 games for the second straight year in his second year. 3 out of 12. Is that insane? Yes. But I am begging people to hold politicians close to the same standard that Alabama fans hold to their football coach.

i do not want to live in the fucking panopticon fuck the camera that blinks above me at work, the tv watching me at the store, the "smile you're on camera" signs, the ring cameras, the flock cameras, the apps to track your child or partner, the activist friends telling me "just assume everything you do in public is being recorded somewhere", the government building protester databases, the teslas recording every move all around them, the knowledge that everything i type or search or save is being tracked and logged, the ads and search suggestions that mysteriously know what i was just talking about, the way biometrics keep creeping into more places, the way my car spies on me, the way my phone spies on me, the way there is nowhere to go to get away from it!!! no wonder the internet is full of vindictive little stalkers and witchhunts when it's the water and the air of society from the culture to the infrastructure
