The Great Escape: Part 2 (BBC Merlin 3x13)
in my opinion pre evil morgana pendragon is a good queen material
she's compassionate and kind, she is a witch herself which means she won't hunt sorcerers she's very caring and she respects servants
at the same time, she can fight with sword and the most important she has quick reaction and ingenuity which she has been demonstrating since second episode (she quickly tosses sword to arthur when he was fighting against guy with snake shield) she's also smart and can lie the way she would be believed
morgana's also brave she doesn't hesitate to confront uther when she's against his actions and that was shown since the first episode & she does care a lot of camelot people (in unicorn episode she and gwen were giving away last food they could find)
she's wise just and powerful morgana has everything required to be a good queen

Sir Leon & Sir Elyan (BBC Merlin 4x01)
im so tired of basically every damn fic just reducing gwen to this quiet stuttering anxious girl the whole time. that is not all she is !!!!!!! yes she’s kind. yes she’s gentle. yes she’s empathetic. but she is also one of the only people in that castle who consistently says what she thinks to people with actual power. this is the woman who tells arthur when he’s being unfair and challenges him and calls him out. she questions uther’s cruelty in a kingdom where questioning uther gets you executed. that is NOT a passive personality !!!! she chooses to believe in people. she is not afraid of conflict when it matters. reducing her to “sweet shy anxious love interest” strips away the most interesting part of her
💯
Gwen is a force to be reckoned with!! She also conceived, communicated and executed an escape plan for herself *and* Leon under Morgana and Morgause's noses, including forging a stolen key in her best dress 😍🤩
currently making myself crazy by thinking about how Arthur's the only one who calls Gwen by her full name, and god the way he says it, Guinevere.. with such admiration and fondness even before they start developing feelings for each other, from the beginning he's so fond of her, he knows already how good and kind she is and ahhh using her full name and not a nickname, but Guinevere, like you would a noble and ahhhhhhh
I love this detail 😍 and Leon calls her Guinevere too - a nod to their history, perhaps?

Large man character who knows like 129 ways to kill someone with his bare hands: *is good with kids*
Me, every time, without fail: ohh my god the large man character who knows like 129 ways to kill someone with his bare hands is good with kids.........
Uther pendragon you will FUCKING pay
Every time a guy writes a song, he’s a cowboy, a sailor Playing with the world in his palm like the first pioneer Every time he opens his mouth, it’s a loud movie trailer Clipping every image and sound he thinks proves he was here

Thank you @silverxsakura for the tag!
They were entirely alone in the chambers with the door locked tightly shut, so it was Uther who set about cleaning and washing Leon and plucking the bits of leaf, moss and twig out of his hair.
