sometimes I make myself emotional and sit here staring at Vikt crying just because of his growth in terms of his queerness. while in Arasaka, he basically had to shove himself deep in the closet—both just too busy to think about it at all, and also it not being "appropriate" in the eyes of his (found) family in Japan. and that mindset carries through once he's terminated, where he feels... out of place, despite Night City being one of the most diverse and openly queer places he's ever been.

I don't think it's really until after the events of '77 proper that Vikt starts to explore it all. namely, when he begins dancing again at Twister. through his stage/pole presence Kobra, he has an avenue to present in a way that doesn't conform to what people slap onto him as "the standard" due to his appearance.

granted it takes years, but eventually, Vikt reaches a point where he identifies as nonbinary (😭😭), though he still maintains masculine pronouns and general physical appearance as that's what is comfortable to him, and he lets himself dress a bit outside of the box he's kept around him (though he often reserves this for dates with his partners or going out clubbing).

This is such a hard question. I went through his playlist and literally none of them scream at me so much. However, I really love I Got Cracked - Vundabar. The upbeat tone, the lyrics. I could see him playing the hell out of this in his car and finger-drumming along to the tune.

Does trouble find Ville or does Ville find trouble, or does Ville cause trouble?

Honestly, I think all three are true at different points in Ville’s life. But the one that sticks out to me the most is him causing trouble.

Being a self-destructive 18 year old and getting into street fights is what led him to joining the Valentinos. He met Jackie, and briefly forgot as much, after the concussion he received from the big brute :) He's been in and out of jail for petty crimes and stuff too! NCPD knows that if they even mess with him, he's going to make a joke of them. You'd have to imagine how many times they had to retake his mugshot pics from him constantly waggling his eyebrows at them, or flipping the bird. He's ridiculous.

By 25, Ville is pretty well known locally and if you mention his name around any of the fixers in NC, including Padre, they'd probably just shake their head. He's definitely not one for authority, which makes it hard on him as a merc for sure - might go in guns blazing nearly every time just because he loves the adrenaline rush.

When Jackie dies though, it's a huge reality check. He starts focusing more on growing his tattoo business outside of Jackie's garage and the most he'll get up to is car racing. (Which in itself is pretty dangerous lol)

What’s Ville's ideal midnight snack? He looooves snacks! He keeps all the different Burrito XXLs in his freezer for those drunken nights. He really goes to town on chips, shredded cheese straight out of the bag, and pepperonis. Pair that with some hot sauce and he could live on it - as a matter of fact, he probably does.

Yaay, hello! Thank you so much, those are great questions 🥹 💜 1. How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?) As a person with a rich inner world, Volya always felt safe and sound in their mind palace. From childhood onward, until the moment Dexter DeShawn put a bullet in their head, they loved letting their mind wander and allowing those thoughts become dreams. Between the physical trauma of the heist, losing Jackie and sharing their brain with Johnny, Volya suffered severely from insomnia. For months, they only slept when their body gave up. Eventually, they realized that being near a friend helped them feel secure and they started napping occasionally in Misty's shop or at the back of Viktor's clinic. It took a lot of willpower to admit their struggles and ask to sleep by their side from time to time. (And I think, I really want to write a short chapter about this :D <3) 2. What is the most common feeling or emotion in their life? I chewed on this one for a bit and finally settled on fear. Given their personality structure it has become a daily companion. Of course, other emotions exist, but they are mostly defined by the chilling and crippling grasp of being scared. 3. How easy is it for them to laugh? Very easy. Despite or maybe because of what's going on underneath, Volya finds lightness in being happy and silly with others. They laugh a lot, joke often, and genuinely enjoy moments of connection. (:

4. Does your OC have any physical scars? What is the story behind them? They have a handful of smaller scars on their body from childhood shenanigans and 25 years of Nomad life on the road. In general, they try to avoid new scars because they remind them of situations they should have handled better. They envy everyone who has cool scars with heroic stories. Of course they are not thinking rationally. For example, if someone asked about their scar on their forehead (which doesn't exist thanks to a very talented ripperdoc), they'd probably answer: 'I got shot after I let my best friend die.' And then they would feel responsible for being such a downer. They are a vain person, but with scars, it's more about erasing undigestible emotions.
