There will always be an uncanny way how past events can catch up to you. A sliver of early morning light, a resemblance of a familiar face from a faded poster, a sudden storm of blurred smiles in the tornado of thoughts–everything a dizzying state of déjà vu. It’s the kind of thought that stays in the back of one’s mind; not at all stale but so fresh that it was nearly a feeling, with all a feeling’s overwhelming power to kill other thoughts.
Jungkook feels this when his eyes met yours across the corridor.
Your eyes have always been familiar. Warm brown and homey, Jungkook always feels the calm whenever he looks at them. It’s probably the familiarity they offer, the result of more than ten years of knowing you and memorizing the small details of you on the back of his palm, enough for him to trace the constellations of your face under his lids when you happen to appear in his dream. However, it’s not just the familiarity. Now, the palpitations of his heart, the heat that rises to his cheeks, and the songs from the birds in his rib-caged heart are enough to tell him it’s more than just knowing you too well.

All my life, I’ve been so used to going all out in making gifts for my friends and getting nothing AND OMYGOD I’M SO OVERWHELMED. To have my work be transcended onto another form of art is so overwhelming, it’s too surreal. The art is majestic and god I love how @sunsenya captured everything: from the imagery I imagined in my head, to Jungkook’s realistic illustration and even his cocky vibe, and to the OC’s features (which I know is one hell of a challenge to do bc I never based her face on anyone that I know of, just a complete fictitious face I imagined whenever I write about her).
Honestly, this gift is beyond words and god do I love you @sunsenya for being the first person to make me feel this way for the very first time.

I came up with a headcanon to accompany my artwork so just read on if you want to know the context and the reason behind the non-existent height difference.
weekly dates
- usually after blade duties, keith and acxa goes out for a ride on one of their transport ships.
- when they’ve gone far off the edge, where both are sure that zethrid and ezor would have a hard time pinpointing their location, keith turns the boosts and the gravity within the ship off and they just float around.
- drifting into insurmountable space and bathing in the stars is where they begin to talk about their day, have a couple laughs, and do forehead kisses.
- it is also where they each gently press their hands into each other’s cheeks and speak in whispers. sometimes, even their noses touch.
- at times, they also hold each other’s hands—something they don’t get to do often due to the nature of their work and because of how they’ve presented themselves to the public.
- a comfortable silence envelops them, but neither complains—both are more than happy to be just doing that.
- because here, they can be themselves. after all, this is where they are most content: within each other’s orbit.
