Main Character Concept

This is the concept I created last year, a quick sketch for the main character. I did not add much detail to the face at that stage as during the initial animation you do not get to see her face at all.

I wanted to show her as a 'casual' authoritarian figure, in a role of police/military and gave her a badge and gun. In the 4th figure of her you can see her left hand is clenched with a blue glow surrounding it, conveying some sort of power. I wanted the image to show her choosing the power over the gun as something/someone catches her attention....

Animation Update: Whoops!

So here we are, this is the character I created a while back. Recently I have not had much time to work on my animation, I had hoped to have my teaser out by Eurogamer, but I doubt it will be ready in time now.

I have finished the environment, and some of the After Effects work, but my character work has gone one step forward and then two steps back. I had to redo a lot of her when I had a hard drive problem a while back, and yesterday my 3ds Max completely failed and I had to download the 2013 version.

None of the Autodesk downloaders worked for me and had to find a direct download from them. It took almost a couple of hours to download as some of you are aware from my many rants that my internet service is being upgraded over this month. Yay and sigh at the same time :/

I managed to salvage some of my files. I opened my latest character file to see the above picture, as you can see some of my settings have not transferred over correctly (on my to-do list), and it was my first attempt at the Garmet Maker, Cloth Modifier.

Obviously I made the top way too small, I did rectify that later on, but alas this is the only recent save I could salvage. My nice clothes I had made are all gone. Silver lining is that I get to refresh my memory on how to make them when I start all over again.

Anyway, once I have started adding the different clothes I will start adding more of the images to the blog, hopefully soon. Currently I am a very busy bee!

Holiday Fun!

Last weekend Indi (www.youtube.com/user/IndigoWhiteGames) visited us here in Brighton. It was a really good holiday. We ate tons of food, walked around for miles, travelled everywhere on Brighton's fantastic buses, and most importantly; played with some guns.

Here is a photo we took of Indi practising with an mp5, I made this image similar to the one I made of myself a while ago. I liked the effect so did it again.

I've got lots in development at the moment which means I have been super busy and unable to do much of my video the last couple of weeks, but don't worry, it will be back on schedule soon!

Playing around with the 3D options in Photoshop

I've been wanting to take a break from 3D for a while and go back to my 2D roots in Photoshop. Was beginning to feel like those Butterfly Catchers were close on my heels!

So I ended up playing around with 3D in Photoshop.... Go figure....

Porshe City Scene

This is going to be a month full of Work in Progress (WIP) images! I've been a busy bee over Christmas, working lots on my video, portfolio and Project Trolling.

You may have seen this image before, but unfortunately a few months ago my computer had a 'slight' problem and I lost a lot of my work. Fixed now and now have twice the amount of ram, therefore playing in 3ds Max a lot more!

So I will post some of my WIPs as often as I can to get feedback and (hopefully) some good comments!

It's my dad's birthday!!!!

Well, in two days it is!....

This year I decided to whip out my Wacom Graphics Tablet and draw him a picture of our cat. It was slightly rushed in the end so I could get it to the printers in time, but I don't think my dad will notice as he's getting old.....(glad he doesn't read my blog!...).

Also, the video that I have been teasing you all about is still in the works, I am only able to do small bits at a time these days due to my busy schedule. I will hopefully get some screenies up over the Christmas period. Wooo!

WIP FILM - BLOOD CELLS

Hey all, a quick update with a screen shot of the video I am currently making. As you can see, this is an image of some blood cells. What you can't see here yet is what else is in the blood stream....(no spoilers!)

I will be uploading images as often as I can. Making a short animation film is a time-consuming progress, but I am learning LOTS.

UK Reaper Invasion: Brighton

I found this image in my external hard drive this morning while doing a routine clean up. It was made a while back but unfortunately I never got to finish it as my psd file got corrupted when I had a major computer fail.

I actually really enjoyed making it (maybe something to be said about blowing stuff up...) and hope to finish it one day.

A lot of the fire images you see there are from some shots I took at a local bonfire. They turned out really well and wanted to use them in a project. I took the shots at different angles, making sure each time that there was only the dark night sky behind the fire. I will upload an image next week (once I have recovered them also).

chickasskick - The Graphic Novel

Some of you know that I have been trained to use many, many different types of weapons. So last time I was down at the range I got some good images and videos taken of me in action.

I wanted to create an interesting effect on the image and sat down to let my creative juices flow in Photoshop.
