so we're just not gonna have a national conversation about how Boeing killed one of their own employees to keep him from talking to the press
like we're really not gonna address the fact that he died of a "self inflicted head wound" literal hours after Boeings lawyers asked him to stay an extra day. We're not gonna speak on the fact that he told his family "if I die, it wasn't suicide " before he went to go testify. None of it huh
Oh? You haven't heard? I'm not surprised with how hard the media are parrying it
THAT TOO. LMFAOOO
A friend of mine does some independent contractor work with Boeing and Lockheed and a few other aerospace firms. They say that literally everyone in the industry knows without a doubt that the guy was murdered. Literally everyone knows that the aerospace company with ties to numerous PMCs and national militaries found somebody they could pay to have him killed. Like, it isn't even a question. Boeing management isn't even shy about the "wink wink, nudge nudge" internally, because the point was to make an example of him and terrify other workers into compliance.
Yea no they did just straight up murder John Barnett I don't see a reality where they didn't do it. I don't see a reality where a man has one more day of trial and tells his close friend that if anything happens it won't be a suicide a week before killing himself. I think a man who had something important to say that could damage a company, who suspected he might be killed and warned his friend about it, being killed by the company is a lot more likely than him killing himself. Especially when literally everyone who knew him says he wouldn't, that he didn't.
it really is mind-boggling to me that the only reason i know about the Congolese and Sudanese genocides is because of the tireless work of grassroots activists and advocates posting on social media. I can honestly say that if I didn't have social media and didn't happen to be following Black authors and activists, I never would have known what was happening in Sudan and Congo because it is simply not being reported in the great majority of mainstream media. We're talking millions upon millions of PEOPLE enduring unimaginable pain and devastation with next to no official reporting. And yes that is in huge part due to the level of violence and displacement occurring that is preventing a lot of news from getting out of these countries, but it's also so blatantly due to anti-Black racism and the perception of African Nations as inherently savage and violent. But genocide is not and never should be normal for anyone anywhere. With that in mind, please keep Congo and Sudan in your thoughts. Check out Focus Congo for resources to help the Congolese people on the ground. Focus Congo's MO is a local organisation whose goal is to rebuild homes, rehabilitate land, and provide medical aid, education, and resources to Congo's most affected people. Also, Check out Keep Eyes On Sudan for how to help out and raise awareness of Sudanese people displaced by civil war. According to Sudanese TikToker bsonblast, donations to local food kitchens in Sudan are desperately needed to fight famine. If anyone has other resources specifically for helping Congo and Sudan, please add them and link them <3
It's not inflation. It's corporate greed. Hyper inflated corporate greed. When you see or hear someone complain about anything else as the cause of high prices, correct them. Forcefully. This will only get worse under Republicans.
Dave Brandt was so much more than a meme. He partnered with universities to experiment with and expand soil conservation and cover crop techniques, worked to educate other farmers through worldwide conventions and direct mentorship, founded the Soil Health Academy, and was called the "Obi-Wan Kenobi of soil health" by the chief of the USDA's conservation department.
There is no healthy planet without healthy ag practices, and this guy was a legend.
you cannot always be the prettiest or most interesting girl in the room but you can always make everyone the most uncomfortable
it's such a bummer that losing control of your emotions only makes the entire situation worse in really embarrassing personal ways. losing control of my emotions should give me pyrokinesis.

Or the cost of fare enforcement.
All of the transit organization's e-commerce costs and physical vending machine upkeep can be permanently deferred. No more coin and cash collection by armed guards. No more e-commerce website security costs.
No more fare cheater confrontations on transit means a lower stress work environment for drivers. It means that busses can complete stops faster because fare collection isn't a step anymore.
So much of public transit (in America) is defined by fare collection and enforcement that removing it allow public transit to become as easy as getting on and off of a moving sidewalk.

Today in Khan Yunis! This might be our last call, we are dying! Gaza is completely collapsing! Everything in it collapses. There were dozens of raids and three hospitals were besieged in Khanyounis: Al-Amal Hospital affiliated with the Red Crescent, Al-Khair Private Hospital, and Nasser Medical Complex, the largest health institution in the Gaza Strip. People killed in the bombing were buried on front of our eyes in the hospital yard due to tanks blockading the streets, the wounded were on the ground without treatment and there was not enough medical staff! Massacres are still being committed On the 109th day of the war, Khan Yunis, the largest governorate in the Gaza Strip and the one that receives the most displaced people, is under bombardment, and the number of displaced people in Rafah is more than one and a half million people, in an area of 151 square kilometers!! We are facing hepatitis and intestinal diseases in the southern Gaza Strip, and starvation to death in the northern Gaza Strip! Yesterday, people in the northern Gaza Strip began grinding animal feed to get flour! Take to the streets, protest, strike.. make pressure on the decision makers by striking the economic movement! Call for a ceasefire!

The problem with studying Catholic heresies is that they litreally made a hobby out of inventing fully realised heretical theologies in order to accuse each other of subscribing to them. Basically every single one comes with a big asterisk noting that it's unclear whether anyone ever actually believed this, or whether some random theologian just made up a guy to get mad at – and the worst part is that you absolutely cannot tell just from looking at them, because the heresies we do have evidence of actual practice for are, if anything, even weirder. Like, the guys who thought Jesus was a hologram were 100% real, so you can't rule anything out!
My favorite example of this are the Ranters who (allegedly) believed that because god was in all living things there was no such thing as sin or hierarchical order. Therefore, they should show the totality of God’s forgiveness by sinning as hard and as often as possible (at the orgy in the pub every night). Anarchy, sexual liberation and equality for women, abolish the church and state, peace and love on planet earth.
Real sect of Dissenters or strawmen for theological anxieties? Who knows. I sure hope they were real because they seem to be having a great time.
Sibling asked how ppl in star wars dance to jizz music and I had to give her an example
its literally not a typo,,,, thats what the genre of the music in the video is called in star wars canon
Why don't they make stained glass fish tanks? Give those fish Catholic guilt
fascinated by the implication that it's the stained glass that gives catholics the guilt
I'm disabled and cannot work, I also should be able to live in a one bed apartment by myself and not starve myself to make rent and pay bills.
Additionally, the financial aid I get should not be dependant on me struggling alone. If I wish to live with a partner or marry, I should not be be financially punished so that I cannot afford basic costs.
We all, whether we are able to work or not, deserve to be able to afford to live. We all have worth that is not dependent on our productivity levels.
True equity is not possible as long as disability equity does not exist.
Everyone, regardless of productivity, deserves to live. Period. That's it. The end.
