Blog Re-Launch
Happy Holidays everyone! Today I'm doing something I've wanted to do for a LONG time; I'm relaunching this blog (if you can tell by le title) - this blog was previously "thinlikeari" which was inspired by the desire to become thin like ariana grande (my ultimate "thinspo" at the time") I'm keeping all previous posts to keep record of how far I've come. However, I no longer promote "clean eating" "thinspo" or anything of that nature. Through hours upon hours of research, tears, trial and error, and too many failures to count, I've finally found what works for ME, which is IIFYM. I no longer demonize foods. I haven't binged since 8/5/13. I've discovered my true passions in life; lifting, learning about nutrition and exercise. This isn't a teatox. This isn't my plan to get slim for summer. This is my life. I love macro counting, I no longer restrict and I'm eating more than EVER (just joined the 300 carb club woot woot) I eat whatever the heck i want whenever the heck i want. In addition, I love building muscle, pushing my limits, and getting mentally and physically stronger on the daily. My goal here? Inspire people. People need to learn that they don't need to starve to lose weight, that eating 300 calories and burning 300 calories doesn't leave you at 0 for the DAY, you don't need to eat clean and demonize foods you love to maintain a healthy, fit body, you CAN beat the binge, and you need to do what makes YOU happy, not your ED, not your mom or your friends, because at the end of the day, what's the point of anything if you're miserable?
Tiny side note for anyone stressing about food this holiday.. babes you only get so many Christmases, life is way too short to worry and obsess about whether you go a bit over on calories. Remember that your body doesn't know whether you just ate a cookie or a banana with almond butter; your body only recognizes the fats/carbs/proteins in terms of calories. Would the banana and pb have some more nutrition than the cookie? Probably. BUT, as long as you consistantly eat a nutritious, balanced diet, do you think it really matters for a few days? Is it worth making the person who cooked for you upset? Who knows how your body will deal with some excess calories? Cherish your life while you still can. Have a spledid holiday.
Best wishes

Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.

They don’t know your goals.
They don’t have your passion.
They don’t share your dedication.
They don’t make your sacrifices.
They don’t suffer your consequences.
They don’t get your results.
They don’t have your strength or courage.
They don’t know whats best for you.

7 Ways to Reach Your Goals & Not Give Up
This can apply to fitness, health, work or just life in general.
Take a Shot - Nothing tried, nothing done. Every day holds a new opportunity.
Be Realistic - If you set unrealistic goals for yourself, you may be setting yourself up for failure.
Stay Strong - Stick with it. It will get better.
Keep on Target - If you don’t see a change, try a new approach.
Persist - No one said it was going to be easy. Keep going.
Don’t Doubt - It will be worth it.
Push Yourself - Don’t give up. You’re almost there.

Great advice!!!
Dont miss out on something that could be great just because it could also be difficult.

Develop a healthy relationship with food. If you’re hungry, eat. If you’re full, don’t eat. Eat vegetables to be good to your body, but eat ice cream to be good to your soul. Take pictures of yourself frequently. Chronicle your life. Selfies are completely underrated. Even if the pictures are unflattering, keep them anyway. There will always be mountains and cities and buildings, but you will never look the same way as you did in that one moment in time. Your worth does not depend on how desirable someone finds you. Spend less time in front of the mirror and more time with people who make you feel beautiful. Close doors. Don’t hold onto things that no longer brings you happiness and do not help you grow as a person. It is okay to walk away from toxic relationships. You are not weak for letting go. Forgive yourself. We all have something in our pasts that we are ashamed of, but they only weigh us down if we allow them to. Make amends with the old you and work every day to become the person that you’ve always wanted to be.
