Auron’s Speech Before the Battle with Yunalesca in Final Fantasy X
It needs no explanation.
“Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain, or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!”
Don’t stop talking about Palestine 🇵🇸
you gotta remove the bad faith glasses man. you can’t read with them on
i still find it so genuinely Weird when i think about the fact that fat people irl are a rather common occurrence. your family, your friends, your coworkers, people on the bus, random passerbys - there are fat people there. usually often. but when you look at Any form of media - movies, tv shows, video games, books are more complicated as not a visual medium but there too, fat people are almost nonexistent. one fat person for the whole movie. one fat person in the background of your fictional city. this is so insanely unrealistic but at the same time nobody comments on this and "we" accept it as normal!! and then people even think their own fatness makes them into some rare failure instead of one of the incredibly common body situations. crazy
Amazon is being sued by the FTC and 17 states for being an illegal monopoly
The Federal Trade Commission and 17 state attorney generals filed an antitrust lawsuit against Amazon on Tuesday, alleging the e-commerce be
hi hey please talk about this as much as you can constantly over time
so often i've seen big-ass Stupid Bullshit News about Stupid Bullshit become absolutely nothing after like 3 days. i'm so fucking tired of it because it means that nothing changes, since we've forgotten what we need to change.
now amazon is getting sued. awesome! this is the first time i've heard of it. the suit was filed presumably somewhere between a few hours and a day ago, so that's understandable.
is this really, really going to be covered after, i dunno, three days? i honestly don't reckon so. amazon has enough money and probably apathy to make this not as much of an important lawsuit as it should - and maybe could - be.
i would love to be reminded every day for weeks and then months that amazon is being sued for operating an illegal monopoly. i want to read every joke, hear every update, see every move that's made until this shit is wrapped up. i don't just want to operate on hope and, inversely, a lack of faith on this one.
i want my anger over the way things are run to be grounded in things happening right here and right now, instead of historical events that make you go "that sucks. can't change the past! :)" and move on, because that changes nothing in the present or the future. please talk about amazon getting sued by the federal trade commission and 17 state attourneys-general for breaking antitrust laws by being an illegal monopoly.
Irish people in the UK, can any of us speak irish…
So many people in my school and my area are irish or half irish and so few of us even have one word of irish. My friend, A, is half irish half jewish and although her mum is nearly fluent she only has some duolingo irish. N, fully irish and not a word of it. E, half irish half chinese is fluent in chinese but only knows one word of irish. M, half ghanain half irish and again- no irish. Even myself, half irish half romani i only have duolingo knowledge and it upsets me that i cant find anyone who speaks it and i have no native speaker influence due to me not seeing my irish family anymore.
I implore anyone- connection or no connection to the language- to give gaeilge or any celtic/dying language a go.
At work we took on a group of people who 'might need extra support' from a get into work scheme.
One guy could not work from home, which is like 60% of the contract, and would be an immediate no-hire. He couldn't work from home cos he shared his room with 3 brothers. It was SO EASY to get him a full time desk
A girl didn't clock on remotely, didn't call, didn't come in to the office, immediate end of probation period material. Called and she'd been hot-spotting from her phone for two weeks because she doesn't have WiFi, her mobile bill was bigger than she expected and came in before we'd paid her. Couldn't pay it, overdrawn on account with charges and phone cut off.
Girl was literally living on the knife edge of poverty and throwing everything she had into the chance of keeping this job.
We gave her a WiFi dongle and she stayed with us. Just one little bit of help.
Our service desk took on a new call agent who is autistic. Working from home through the pandemic she was fine; on return to site, it soon became clear that she was struggling - not with the calls, but with being in the office interacting with the rest of the team. Following discussions, her working pattern was rearranged so that she splits her time between the office and homeworking; she was given use of a private office instead of sharing with other call agents; and she was allowed to bring her support worker to work with her every day. Simple adjustments which have made all the difference, and we get to keep a really good member of staff who might otherwise have given up and quit.
Takua's got a sick new ride 😎
Incredible (X)
Found on twitter, going to adopt this now

I think it’s just kinda ironic that Hozier released a song dedicated to the destruction of native culture and language, and most of you seem to be allergic to referring to the Irish language as Irish.
Gaelic is an umbrella term that describes many languages, mainly Irish, Welsh, and Scots Gaelic. Gaelic is not an actual language (or at least not anymore). All three are distinct languages with their own spellings and grammar. In the De Selby bts video Hozier himself refers to it as Irish.
You would not refer to Spanish as romantic when it could also mean French and Italian. Show some respect.
