A moment of silence for Gooseworx and the harassment she as a trans woman has received for out of context jokes from seven years ago that she's already apologised and made statements for several times. The second she came back from being harassed off every social media ever, the transphobes came oozing out of the woodwork to do it again.

Oh, and another moment of silence for people hating on the ending of TADC because it focused on one of the two main characters and had a plot hole that is easily filled in if you know what a computer recycling bin is.

Every time I see fan art of human Jax as a “cool” looking “dude” in a hoodie or whatever who’s completely comfortable presenting as masculine, and that clearly hasn’t been questioned by the artist, I think of this image

honestly I feel really bad for Gooseworx cause she wrote a great story and half the fanbase turned out to be a bunch of redditors that turned on her and called her series trash cause they didn't understand that one of the characters was a closeted trans girl and then when they were told, they threw massive transphobic hissy fits about it.

I hope she's alright

more than anything i want a world where a trans girl realizing she is a trans girl faces zero fear from that realization and subsequent coming out. Where she can say "Oh sweet, I can just be a girl? Sign me up!", no worrying if shes girl enough, no worrying if society will accept her, no worrying if she'll be an attractive girl as she transitions, no worrying at all in any way shape or form.

Okay so Gooseworx got banned. I think this is an excellent time to send @tumblr @staff @support some POLITE bug reports concerning their automated moderation system. Take this energy and channel it towards something that might actually help in the short term and the long run.

UPDATE: apparently due to the way Tumblr’s new account management system works, it’s unclear whether Gooseworx got banned or simply deleted her account. We won’t know for sure either way until 30 days after the account’s deletion, at which point the data from her blogs will be purged from Tumblr’s servers.

Still, this is a good opportunity to file polite bug reports with tumblr anyway, since Tumblr’s automated moderation system being transphobic is a known issue and this is a high profile enough case to make some productive noise on that front.
