so I'm rewatching the my babysitter's a vampire movie (I binged it along with the series through the weekend and got hyperfixated, so I'm back to the movie after 3 days lol) and I just realized, one of the first lines is "Let's make it the Sunday to end all Sundays" and season 2's finale is called The Date to end All Dates..... ughhhh I'm gonna cry I love this show so much I wish we got a proper ending

Something I always loved about My Babysitter’s a Vampire(MBAV) is that Sarah and Erica are the main protagonists who do all punching/hitting and kicking in the show. It’s not a completely new concept to have female characters be the main fighters or even be the ones to save the day or having the male leads be ones in need of saving. It’s just not as common.

For a kid’s sitcom to have the female love interest(Sarah) be the one who often times be the one to save the male leads is somewhat unique. I liked that Sarah was still allowed to be very feminine while also being the one to do the fighting. Often times the female fighter is more of tom-boy. It is nice that Sarah is allowed to be feminine.

I always hated it when someone in the MBAV fandom called Ethan or Rory “ weak soul nerd boy, or dumb geek boy”. When one is literally a vampire with supernatural powers and eats animals and is way smarter than he looks, and the other so-called nerd who kills vampires and fights monsters every week while being a freshman in high school! No hate to Benny and all but if anyone out of the three of them is a weak link it’s him. (No hate tho he’s still cool in he’s own weird way.)
