Uni Watch ran a contest to redesign the Tennessee Titans since they announced they would be getting a design overhaul in 2018. I thought making their colors match their fellow Tennessee teams could be a cool unifying detail. I thought a shield could be a bold logo that would work well on a helmet.
Worked on a chalkboard mural over at the ’47 Store on Newbury St. It’s up until the Patriots’ home opener on Thursday. I hadn’t done a chalkboard mural in a while so I am pretty pleased with how it came out.
With Kyrie Irving traded to the Celtics and him switching to #11, I tried my hand at some new Kyrie logos. I immediately saw the opportunity to use the “I” and “11” in some sort of negative space design.
Back in May I had the chance to work on a infographic poster for the celebration in Buffalo of the 150th birthday of Frank Lloyd Wright. The poster focuses on two buildings, The Martin House and Graycliff, both of which were designed for the Martin family by Wright. I got the chance to tour them and gathered inspiration for the layout and colors of my design from Wright’s signature blending of geometry and nature.
The final battle?
Rams are moving back to LA but hopefully they don’t go with a simplified, concentric “hipster” logo like this one I did in about 15 minutes. Too played out.
Here is my entry for the Uni Watch redesign the Maple Leafs contest. With such a classic, iconic uniform it was difficult to veer too far from the aesthetic the team has built up for nearly a century. I stuck with elements from their past and added a few updated changes like the arched lettering above the leaf crest.
The Finals start tonight.
Amazing Super Bowl. Tom Brady & Bill Belichick are now the greatest of all time!
On to Seattle! Sunday can't come soon enough.
My design for the NBPA logo contest - vote here!
I tried to base the diamond shape on an old school union logo.

With the fallout from Donald Sterling, and Steve Ballmer purchasing the team, some think a rebrand is in order to wash off the Sterling stink. For years, Dave Dameshek and Bill Simmons have tossed around the idea of rebranding to the Hollywood Stars and I like the ring to it. I am always in favor of teams having unique color palettes and the Clippers' royal blue and red is the furthest thing from that. I decided to go with black, white, and a minty, turquoise-ish, Tiffany blue color.
Infographic of the kits of each country in the 2014 World Cup. Can you guess them all?
Since so many teams' modern logos are sleek and angry, I decided to make a retro New Orleans Pelicans illustration. I think it keeps the charm of mascots from the '60's and '70's. I always liked when mascots wear sailor hats.
