yesterday i quit my job due to mistreatment from management. i was hoping to have a lot more time to figure things out before it got to this point, but things hit a fever pitch and i had to get out of there. i'm finding myself back at square one very suddenly, a lot more disabled than i was last time i had to job hunt, and frankly i'm. scared :')

i'm very thankful that my partner, their parents, and our roommates are willing to be flexible in helping cover some of my expenses while i rest and recover and find a new job, but i still need some extra support to make ends meet.

Hey yall I just wanted to come on here and bring some attention to what’s happening at the detention center (really a concentration camp) Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey. There is a hunger strike going on right now to protest the abhorrent conditions within the camp (allegations of torture, maggots and other bugs in the food, etc) and protests happening outside the camp. ICE is not allowing any politicians to come in (as is their right) to see the conditions of the camp. once again I am asking for funds to supply my community with HRT. Last year they banned HRT for ppl below 21, now they're making it harder to get a prescription even if you're already in the system (it's already very hard and takes long time to get approval), and since HRT became prescription only just 2 years ago, there's many people who are on HRT but aren't yet (or can't be) in the system who need hormones. And many ppl just can't afford to buy it even if they have prescriptions. So I do this to supply HRT FOR FREE to my community.

Once I meet a goal that means I can service the people who already rely on me and have some extra, the rest of the funds go to other countries' HRT needs (last year we raised 2000+ euros and shared a good amount of it with Lebanon, Morocco, Mali, I imagine it'll be similar this year, maybe adding other countries).

Moved from room to room periodically to deprive them of sleep.

Locked in a darkened container.

Serious injured in their eyes, ears, and rib-cages with tasers.

Beaten by multiple soldiers, breaking ribs, fracturing vertebrae.

Stripped, sexually harassed, and groped.

Sexually violated, anally raped, and forcibly penetrated with a handgun.

This is what Israel did to people who were only under their control from Tuesday to Friday, less than a week. This is what Israel did to people from Germany, Italy, Spain, France, and others of the global north. This is what they did to protesters showing solidarity on a global stage who have lawyers and news attention.

Imagine what they do to Palestinians every day.

Hi everyone! As you may know I’m a full time caregiver for my brother and that prevents me from working outside the home on a consistent basis. My brother receives disability but that unfortunately only covers 1/3 of our rent which leaves the rest of our household expenses such as food, utilities, internet service in my lap. Fortunately, I am able to babysit but the hours are inconsistent and recently the clients that I’ve come to depend on have been hit with their own financial struggles which leaves me in the lurch. Money is a huge source of anxiety for me as my bills are piling up faster than I am able to manage on my own. We have very little family to depend on or borrow from and even though that’s been the case for years, it’s even harder now with rising costs. We are hoping to take part in a program that would pay me to take care of my brother but we need a referral from my brothers doctor and the cost to travel to his appointment is mire than I am able to save on a weekly basis after groceries. Right now, my phone is turned off and I would like to switch providers but I would lose my number if I tried without service and I’d run the risk of delaying an already drawn out process with social services.

I’m thankful to all of you who have donated with times being as difficult as they are because I know my situation is not unique and I’m continuing my quest for reliable employment in the meantime but I want to try and get a few things paid off & prepare for the month ahead.

My goal is $1,200.

This would cover the final half of this month’s rent, our phones + internet, our pepco bill & to purchase menstrual supplies. I feel ashamed for asking because I wish I could handle it myself but I’ve exhausted all other options and the mental load has been whooping me lately. It feels as though we’re being priced out of life and it terrifies me. The fear of us losing our place keeps me up at night and as soon as our rent is paid off it’s time to pay again. It took years for us to receive what little government assistance we have just for me to now, not be able to work and make ends meet. We make a little progress and we get introduced to possible program just to get delayed smh! I’m grateful that we’ve made it thus far but I am stressed😭
