so I moved into my place september 2025. when I move in my mailbox does not open. I discover after some time that my mailbox has the wrong lock on it. I ask for a replacement. I wait a very long time for the replacement. I ask a couple times for the replacement. I get so fed up that sometime in January of 2026 I go to ace hardware myself to buy a replacement. I try to call the leasing company to ask what kind of lock is supposed to be on my mailbox so that I can buy a replacement. they tell me that I cannot replace it myself, someone from maintenance has to do it. I say okay can you please make them do it. she puts in an order for the replacement. I check in periodically many many times to get my new mailbox key. sometimes I am able to catch the mail person at the box and get my built up mail. I open many ticket requests that they close without fixing my mailbox. I go in to the office yesterday like hey can I please use my mailbox? she says she’s seen my ticket and will try to make it happen asap. I get a knock on the door today (june 5 2026) and a man hands me two keys. I am agog. I am thrilled. I am triumphant.

I go down to my mailbox an hour later and my mailbox is not fixed. I now have the keys to the mailbox of the apartment next to mine.
