I went to the laundromat today and it had an expansive selection of literature.
If me and you are made in God's image, that includes disabilities.
If me and you are made in God's image, that includes mental illness.
If me and you are made in God's image, that includes intellectual disabilities.
If me and you are made in God's image, that means He feels your pain with you.
The thing about those big white passenger vans is that while in media they're associated with kidnapping irl every one I know belongs to a Mormon family with a frightening number of children

Art with Jesus having the kindest eyes and the scruffiest beard gets me every time. Like he purposefully didn’t look ‘holy’ or ‘regal’ he was your neighbor. He was your carpenter.
Me, driving and listening to this CD: what a great devotional on patience
Neal A. Maxwell: When the veil which encloses us is no more, time will also be no more. Even now, time is clearly not our natural dimension. Thus it is that we are never really at home in time. Alternately, we find ourselves impatiently wishing to hasten the passage of time or to hold back the dawn. We can do neither, of course. Whereas the bird is at home in the air, we are clearly not at home in time—because we belong to eternity. Time, as much as any one thing, whispers to us that we are strangers here. If time were natural to us, why is it that we have so many clocks and wear wristwatches?

if any of you lack whimsy let him ask of god
im sorry, i know this is a perspective thing, but all i could think was "new queer identity just dropped: mormons" and then i had to make that one meme
the pearl of great price is so cool it's like old testament dlc
Even small actions can hurt people we love. A member in my ward was baptised and active for 18 years, and eventually hit old age. Until then, he had taken care of a small flower bed on the street-facing side of our ward, which I'm told was very impressive and beautiful. When the leadership got concerned with his old age, and that he would not be able to continue caring for the bed, they had the plants moved and the bed covered up.
He became inactive after that, not from a lack of faith. One may say it was too little of an issue to justify not going to church. It was manageable enough, and he should've still went to sacrament anyway. But we don't know him enough to say that! He is an older man, and clearly this meant a lot to him. Maybe he's fragile, has other past experiences that lead to such a reaction, or maybe was treated way worse than what the stories say. He is active now, and has been for the last few months. I pray he can find peace with how he was treated. I also pray we can all be mindful of how even little actions affect our fellow siblings in Christ, and focus on listening to them.
It's not about problems that need to be solved, but about people that need to be loved.
I think that guy is pretty justified if someone did that to my garden I'd become the joker
Happy pride month to the community that mixes LGBTQ identity with religious identity like a champ. I love you all 🫶🫶🫶
I'm all made of hinges so everything bends. Badly. Sometimes painfully. Frequently with sound effects.
We were discussing the new dog tag list and one of my friends wondered why everyone hates Mormons so much. And yeah I knew it was a rhetorical question but I had an answer.
And like yeah I said it like a joke but genuinely it's that simple. Someone made a new church in a country where it was legal to do so and everyone got so mad that they killed him and many other people. And almost 200 years later people still hate it to the point that they want to kill people on the daily.
