Taissa MOTHERFUCKING Turner gave Shauna ONE LOOK in season 3 and that bitch backed down like a dog with its tail between its legs. Taissa THE GOAT Turner has a literal vengeful evil murderous other self in her head that she’s been battling the entirety of the show and the first thing they have EVER agreed on is that Shauna’s bitchass has to die. And the two of them are now in an alliance with fucking mysterious fentanyl quigley over here in the corner. Shauna is one hundred percent toast are we for real

One of my favorite aspects of Jackieshauna is easily them sharing clothes, however another layer to it that I dont think has been discussed yet is what type of each others' clothes they take and how they proceed to wear them.

Throughout seasons 2-3, Shauna is seen consistently wearing Jackie's butterfly shirt, while right before Doomcoming, Jackie wears one of Shauna's flannels. While Jackie wears Shauna's flannel over her clothes, almost like armor, Shauna usually wears Jackie's butterfly shirt under her own clothing, like it's something that needs to be both protected and hidden. Adding to this, Shauna almost always pairs the butterfly shirt with a specific red flannel that she previously wore towards the middle of season 1.

During this time, Shauna was both coming into her own in the wilderness, while also still retaining her best friendship with Jackie. I think the pairing of Jackie's shirt with her own flannel is Shauna visually attempting to disguise her own vulnerability with a more idyllic version of herself. It's also important the mention that she tends to wear this specific shirt/flannel combo when Wilderness Baby is brought up.

Meanwhile, the flannel Jackie chooses is one Shauna wore both before the crash and immediately afterwards, during which Shauna was at her most deferential towards her.

Jackie, in trying to comfort and protect herself, draws strength from an idealized (and slightly false) image of Shauna. Ironically, against Shauna herself. Both of these instances of clothes sharing are also a great microcosm of Jackie & Shauna's dynamic from their own perspectives. Jackie temporarily wearing a light overlayer, that can be easily taken on and off, showcases how she at least attempted to act like she could easily discard Shauna at any time. In contrast, Shauna wearing Jackie's shirt is both more permanent/intimate, representing how deeply Jackie had ingrained herself in Shauna's psyche after her death.

Adult Shauna seemingly reverting back to her old fashion/aesthetic that she had in season 1 pre crash probably intentionally to detach herself from her “wilderness” persona is just such a good detail and I think about it all the time.
