I do not really know how to properly format or present this as it is my first time making one of these, but I will do my best to explain:
You play as a mage who is estranged from their family because of their abilities. Since birth, you have had the ability to see into people's minds and read their memories. You cannot control this ability. You ran from your family, who are still trying to hunt you down, and start a teashop in a tiny town near the border.
You sell magical teas imbued with your magic. Your patrons request a tea for a specific memory or just a memory of a specific vibe. "A time when I was happy" could be a childhood memory of them skipping rocks over the river with friends. "I forgot my mother's face after she passed" could be a memory of them as a child, their mother making them ginger milk on a rainy night, telling them to rest—you get the idea.
The memory only plays once on the first sip. When reliving a memory, your customer's eyes go black and they stare blankly ahead; the world gets blocked out for them, and they feel all the emotions they were feeling in that memory. They can feel, taste, touch, hear, and see everything in the memory as if it is happening in real time. Once the memory magic is consumed, it's just regular tea.
One day, a party of three walks in. The older, retired knight requests a childhood memory. The harrowed-looking mage requests a memory of that beautiful garden they visited once. The rogue asks to see his family one last time.
The rogue's family died in a bandit raid; his village was burned down. The memory is of him as a boy, kneeling and sobbing behind his house, peeking through a gap in the wood, unable to move while his mother and sister scream for help. He can do nothing but cower and listen to their suffering. He hides while the bandits have their way with them, kill them brutally, and leave.
But there's something he missed. In the memory you show him, he sees a signet ring on one of the men—a ring of a noble house—and he realizes with sickening clarity that the downfall of his house was not a random attack of bandits at their vacation home, but a sick plot of another house.
Over the coming days, the party returns, and every time, the rogue asks for more and more specific memories. Each time, the smell of iron grows stronger on him.
