This is a quick sketch I drew of Lou a couple of nights ago. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still working on the fanfiction, so I'm going to try to draw Lou at least once a month. That said, I also want to spend more time focusing on my own artwork and original characters. As much as I enjoy drawing Lou, UglyDolls isn't my creation, it belongs to STX Entertainment. I draw him because he's a fun character, and he's great practice for learning to draw in a different art style while staying true to the original design.I've also been wanting to improve my art. I think a lot of artists can relate to feeling like their work could always be better. I'm one of those artists who compare themselves a lot to others, and while I know that's not always helpful, it's just something that helps motivate me. If I'm being honest, I just wish I was better at my art, but I know that with time, it will get there.❤️

Here's some fan art of LPS #960! She's one of my favorite Cocker Spaniel LPS pets and is currently on my wishlist. Luckily, she's not too expensive compared to the other cocker spaniel mold. She's around $50, which, sadly, is considered pretty affordable in the LPS collecting community. Anyways I decided to draw some fan art of her while I was on vacation traveling across the country. During the trip, I wanted to draw in a different art style again, and this time I tried drawing in the style of one of my favorite Instagram artists, (lps_twilight_saga) She was one of my favorite artists back when I was in middle school, and I always loved the way she drew in Photoshop. Unfortunately, she no longer posts online, and her last Instagram post was back in 2018. Even so, it's still nice to go back and admire her artwork from time to, to time.

Here are some drawings exploring Marissa’s body expressions! These were really fun to make, but also a bit challenging. I wanted to keep her fitting in with the “pretty doll” look from the film, while still showing who she is as a character. Her expressions lean more on the anxious side, she’s someone who’s trying to be confident, but her clumsiness kind of gives her away. I also experimented with her makeup, making it a little bolder and messier since she’s not very experienced with it. I hope you guys enjoy these! And if the makeup looks off, feel free to let me know, makeup is definitely something I’m still learning when it comes to drawing my characters.

Here are some facial expressions of my character, Marissa, who will be featured in my Uglydolls fanfiction. Working on these sketches was a bit emotionally challenging, since Marissa is a very emotional character who goes through a lot in the story. I won’t go into too much detail, but there’s definitely heartbreak and struggles with self-esteem. I hope you guys enjoy her expressions.

So… how do we feel about her? Do you guys like her, or is she too much? She’s definitely a different design compared to the style I usually draw. Personally, I think she really fits who she’s meant to represent. If you look closely, you can tell by the details, her long hair represents the T-shape of an IUD, and the corset on her dress symbolizes the cylindrical part. I wanted to design this birth control as a character because I had a really bad experience with it, and I’ve been thinking about possibly turning that experience into a story. But who knows 🤷‍♀️we’ll see what happens in the future.

Here are some of Lou’s body expressions. These were really fun to work on, but also a bit challenging since I had to make sure the proportions stayed accurate. I don’t know if you guys have noticed, lol, but I genuinely love drawing Lou, he’s such a fun character and great to experiment with different styles.

Here are some of Lou’s facial expressions that I worked on over the past week. I decided to create a proper character model sheet for him since I’ll be drawing Lou a lot for my fanfiction project. I noticed that my drawings of him were very off model and inconsistent, so I wanted to redesign him for better accuracy and consistency. I hope you  guys enjoy these expressions! I rewatched the movie multiple times and paused on different scenes just to study and capture his head shape. It was a lot of work, but honestly, I loved every part of the process ❤️

Here’s a short comic about me venting my frustrations with Instagram. I’ve had my account for a long time, and lately the platform has really been failing me, to the point where I even made a second account and tried a new strategy (which I’m deleting now). It was upsetting, especially since this is one of my oldest accounts, while my Tumblr has surprisingly been doing really well.It made me realize that no matter the platform , Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, or TikTok,the focus on popularity can really mess with our minds. So please make art because you want to, not for followers or validation. Your passion matters more than numbers. You matter. ❤️

Here is an illustration of Lou that I created for the beginning of Chapter One of my Fanfic. Each chapter will start with its own illustration, giving a visual preview of how the chapter begins. In this chapter, Lou is standing behind his vanity mirror, surrounded by portraits hanging on the wall, as he prepares to perform his concert, The Ugly Truth. I hope you all enjoy this concept, it’s taken a lot of work on my part, but I don’t mind at all. I love UglyDolls and I love drawing it.❤️

Meet Marissa! My oc for the fanfiction Uglydolls I'm doing.I wanted to introduce her before I start sharing more illustrations of her in the series. This is basically a way you'll get to know who she is as the story unfolds. I’ll be doing the same for other characters later on, but for now, I hope you enjoy meeting this clumsy doll, and seeing her journey come to life. 😊

Here’s a drawing of my favorite Littlest Pet Shop, #2136, I’ve loved this toy ever since I was a little girl, and she’s one I’ve tried to draw many times over the years. This time I wanted to reimagine her in a different style. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’ve been experimenting with new art styles lately, pushing myself to see what I can do and what I can't do. The style for this piece was inspired by the video game Identity V. I had never heard of the game before, but once I discovered it, I immediately fell in love with the character designs and the overall aesthetic. This drawing took me a month to finish, but I enjoyed the process the whole way through. I hope you like it.

I'm currently writing an UglyDolls fanfiction because, while I love the movie, I wasn’t a fan of its execution. The story, characters, and concept are great, but it could’ve been done better. So, I created my own take on Lou, exploring what might happen if he fell in love with someone completely opposite from him. This fanfic will be posted in parts, starting with Chapter 1, book 1 on Wattpad. I'm still working on the drawings, but the first book with 17 chapters is completed.Just a heads-up: Moxy and the other UglyDolls won’t appear in this version, not because I dislike them, but because I plan to work with them in other versions.This fanfic is mostly about Lou, and how he would be if he fell in love, and how that would change him as a character.

So… I did something lol

I’ve been playing Slime Rancher a lot lately and I also been working on my UglyDolls fanfiction, and of course my brain decided to mash the two together. So here it is a crossover of Lou petting a Tabby Slime. I honestly don’t know how this idea popped into my head, but the thought of this charming, narcissistic blonde man in a suit petting a cute, squishy cat slime was too funny not to draw. I made the whole thing on Procreate, which I recently started using, so it was a fun little experiment. I hope you guys enjoy this short comic.
