A little bit of headcanon about my most recent comic:

It was an excuse to put Mariner in the Queen Arachnia because *slay* (Also, who wore it better? Janeway or Mariner?)

The colors of their costumes are deliberately gaudy because it is believed they look better in black and white. It was never meant to be seen outside of the holodeck!

The only reason Mariner agreed to participate in Boimler’s childish holonovel is if she got to play Queen Arachnia. She won’t play any other character.

Boimler alternates between playing Chaotica and Captain Proton. Depends on what Mariner’s in the mood for.

The rest of Boimler’s week is ruined after this and he’s certain his Starfleet career is “basically over.”

Nechayev is wholly unamused and unimpressed with them initially, but she ends up having a laugh about the whole thing with Mariner at Admiral Freeman’s 60th birthday party later that year.

Captain Ransom was unamused, too, but realizes he brought this on himself.

I plan on posting the version with dialogue bubbles on AO3 in the next couple of days.

Part (3/?) of "Idiot's Guide to Time Travel", a Mariner and Boimler get stuck in the past post SNW crossover terminal brainrot comic I'm relaunching after a year of hiatus.

On today's episode: Tired of being holed up in their boring, lonely, remote planet, Mariner and Boimler go behind the back of Starfleet and take a secret trip to a pre-contact Ferenginar. It goes about as well as you'd imagine.
