Another ghost au (this time wolfstar)

Remus, an antique dealer, buys an old victorian style house. Once he moves in, things start to get weird. Lights turning on and off by themselves, sudden chills running down his spine, and music playing by itself. The last straw is when he finds an old ring in a hole in his porch and every time he tries to bring it inside to appraise it, it somehow flies out the door. He’s somewhat of a skeptic, but even he has to concede that there could be something paranormal happening. His friend Dorcas brings in a medium, Pandora, to help them uncover the truth of what’s happening in his home. What they find is just a lonely ghost who wants to be seen. And maybe for Remus to quit playing so much abba.

So we're all gonna let the new Harry Potter show die on the vine, right? No hatewatching. No thinkpieces. No videos about how bad it is. Deprive it of oxygen and let it wither away unremarked-upon and unprofitable; make HBO lose their entire investment and prove to the corporate entertainment sphere that the entire IP is poison. And spend that time doing something that brings you joy instead.

I don't even want to give people the benefit of pretending they're "hatewatching" it. Hatewatching is what you do when some random-ass show or movie looks like it's going to be atrocious and you're like "i gotta see this shit". We're not dragging this show through the mud because we think it's going to be bad in quality, we're telling you not to engage with it because a horrendous bigot will profit from it and channel that profit into destroying the lives of trans women, because there's a precedent of her doing exactly that. We're not here to "see how bad it gets", we're not asking people to boycott this shit because it's like. Insulting to HP or your childhood memories or whatever. let's be honest, it is probably gonna be a perfectly adequate show. That's just not the fucking point. If you're planning to 'hatewatch' it or make content dunking on it, you're at best missing the whole point here, and at worst making excuses.
