I saw someone complaining about how the Rust Syndicate from Pokemon Legends ZA wasn't a realistic portrayal of loan sharks, because they weren't shown being that bad.
...You expected POKEMON...FREAKING POKEMON...an E10+ GAME...to accurately portray how a crime syndicate operates in the real world?!
But you're okay with how comically Team Skull was portrayed despite all the horrible things real life street gangs do?! Or Team Rocket, who are also a crime syndicate?! SERIOUSLY?!
Also, The Rust Syndicate are purposely written to not be like real crime syndicates. The entire joke is "You get roped in by the mob, expect them to force you to commit crime, but instead they do the exact opposite of what real life mobsters do and force you to do community service, instead."
That's not even an uncommon joke! Off the top of my head, LOONEY TUNES used to make jokes like that! There literally was a whole ass gag where Bugs Bunny, disguised as a mobster, told another movster, "IT'S CURTAINS FOR YOU!" and then gave him a nice set of curtains.
I swear, the damn Pokemon fandom is just LOOKING for shit to complain about, sometimes.
i know this is a joke but here's my pokebiology nerd answer
as a whole, the eeveelutions have the features of a mid-level ambush predator that hunts small animals. notice their massive ears (could be for picking up on very quiet movements of tiny animals, as well as listening for potential larger predators in the area) and large, forward-facing eyes (implies that good depth perception is necessary for their hunting style).
because of this, most of them likely hunt by stalking and pouncing on their prey - similar to foxes or cats, but with slightly larger potential prey due to their own larger body size. likely prey includes small birds, rodents, lizards, newborn ungulates (in the spring), and for vaporeon, fish.
however, it's possible that jolteon is made for hunting larger prey than the other eeveelutions. wider jaws would help it get a better grip on animals that are bigger than it is. this is also supported by its high speed compared to the others, which implies it has chasing/exhaustion hunter capability as opposed to being a pure ambush hunter (speed won't help you hunt birds and mice, since you only need one bite to kill them).
jolteon's electricity would also help it exhaust, disarm, and bring down large prey. normally, an animal of its size wouldn't be able to safely kill a deer, due to its sharp and powerful hooves. but once a jolteon gets a good bite on a deer, it can discharge electricity through its fangs, sending shock waves through the animal's body and disarming it. large jaws would help the jolteon keep a good hold on the deer, because if the deer manages to slip free before the paralysis sets in, it could manage to get away (or injure the jolteon).
there are also opportunities for cooperative ambush hunting, which as far as i can remember, isn't something any real-life predator does. if multiple jolteon worked together, coordinating their movements and all pouncing on a large animal at once, they could take down much, much larger prey. with several of them biting the animal in multiple spots at once, conducting all that electricity between their teeth... i'd dare say a pack of them could kill a moose cow, as long as they coordinated the attack well enough.
(this assumes pokemon and normal animals simultaneously exist. in a canon where only pokemon exist, they would hunt anything they can safely grab onto and paralyze, varying by region. for example, in unova, loners would hunt deerling and sawsbuck, with packs sometimes daring to take on bouffalant.)
Mega Flygon regains some of the protective shell it lost during evolution, but the extra weight hasn't slowed it down at all. When it flies the hollows in its false jaws produce an eerie song that has the ability to psych out opponents as they attempt to follow its movements. When the foe is completely caught off guard, Mega Flygon will finish them off with a whirling vortex of sand so powerful that it can reduce solid steel into dust.
After eleven or so years of drawing my own Mega Evolutions I finally came up with a design that I liked for Mega Flygon. I'd say it's long overdue, but I still beat Game Freak and that's what matters
