Sometimes it's hard
This battle is tough. It’s hard raw and painfull. It’s called an addiction. And I realise that this is a battle I have to fight every single day of my life. But God is showing His kindness in the times I get tempted the most.
sometimes you gotta just lay on the couch and stare at the ceiling fan and talk to God about confusing life things and tell Him you’re gonna trust him even though nothing makes sense right now
All my conversations lately
The word endure also means “to suffer patienty"— and so beloved, endure, suffer patienty. God will do what He promised.

Nothing will on Jesus satisfies me, for He is the cup that won’t run dry. Your presence Lord is heaven to me 🙌
You cannot use someone else’s fire; you can only use your own. And in order to do that, you must first be willing to believe you have it.

It is essential to be alone with God, waiting at His door, hearkening for His voice, lingering in the Scripture. No number of Christian meetings, no amount of Christian activity, can compensate for the neglect of this still hour.” The life around us, in this age, is preeminently one of rush and effort. It is the age of the instant this and instant that.” This feverish haste threatens the life of devotion to Christ… We must beware that we do not substitute Christian activities for the authentic relationship with Christ. Mary understood this and chose to be at Jesus’ feet. There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.“ Luke 10:42
What's the story behind your tumblr name??
Growing up, I struggled with belonging. I’d always felt like such a loner at school because I wasn’t good at making friends, and also I never seemed to be able to do or say what everyone else did. I was super shy and quiet, and also, I was a Christian, so I knew that too was why I felt different from the other kids and like an outsider.
Sometimes being a Christian, like an actually-pursuing-Christ-daily kind of Christian, can be lonely and difficult in a world where so many people seem to not be aware of Him. But one thing my mom always used to tell me was that I was God’s desert rose (it comes from the song “Desert Rose” by an older group called White Heart). I was different yes, like a rose in a desert, but not alone, because God saw me and knew me. I was His, and that’s what got me through my loneliest days.
