just a blog where i post stuff about books. i mainly read classic literature. i will post about whatever books i'm reading, with an occasional post about art.

my current favorite books are:

Seeing a video of something cool in 2026: Check the movement. If it's too smooth, I gotta scroll past. Can't risk it. Check every object in the background. Do they change shape? Texture? Look at the eyes.... what are the eyes doing.... and teeth? Hands? Good, good..... Hair..... check the hair movement.... does the hair move through any objects? No? Good. I can't risk it. Can't risk anything. [three minutes of spot-the-difference later] It all looks fine, but now I gotta check the comments and reblogs. Someone could've seen something I missed. I can't risk it. I really want to believe that something as cool as this happened, and I want to reblog it, but I just can't risk it. I just can't.

happy 75th birthday catcher. here's my copy from 1967. i'd like to add that matt salinger said yesterday on a BBC radio interview that his dad would refer to holden as "my little holden". that's so cute 💔💔
