Finished Bury Your Gays. It was alright. Fun, but not really my thing. Wasn't really what I had expected from an author I only know for surreal erotica? Like it was certainly competently crafted but neither the plot nor the writing particularly GRABBED me. Not bad just not for me. I think the torture scene was a real highlight, but... I personally hate torture scenes... 😭 Idk just totally different having just read Shogun which... I can't really say was "better" but I enjoyed it more lol.

It's pretty fun figuring out what books have that special sauce for me.

Just started Clash of Kings and oh my god Stannis sucks so bad in just these first few pages it's insane. I remember like nothing about him except he gets royally fucked by the red lady and dies pitifully but I don't even remember how. The first season I had practically memorized, but the rest I'm way more fuzzy on (except for Brienne my beautiful wife 💚) so I'm excited to experience this almost fresh.
