ALBUM 4: Speak Every Word by This is the Giant
So many emotions in so little words....literally.
This weeks album is Speak Every Word by This is the Giant. The album contains only two sentences in its entirety, but those two sentences hit home in so many ways. The lyrics read “Sometimes you have to take chances. Sometimes you have to face fears.”
Think about those lyrics. So simple but yet so complex.
I heard about this band through a website called noisetrade. I read their profile and was skeptical. An album of just instrumentals? Sounds a little boring. It is anything but.
I honestly can not explain the power this album holds. It is so emotional. When listening you feel happy, sad, confused, encouraged, hopeful, relaxed, and uplifted. I could not tell you the last time I listened to a song and cried and then felt happy and at peace all in one song. THIS ALBUM SHOWS THE TRUE POWER OF MUSIC. The type of music that takes you out of the your deepest, darkest places in life. The type of music that heals. The type of music that makes you strong.
This album has taught me more about life then any other. And they didn’t even say a word......

Third Album
This weeks album is Lowborn by Anberlin. This is the bands latest album, and their last. It marks their farewell.
I always had respect for Anberlin. They always created the trends and kept it classy. Their music really defines the art and music combination. Their lyrics are poetic and their album covers are masterpieces.
I feel that this album is a great farewell. It is much different from their original music. It shows how they have progressed and changed as a band. The album is a bit slow, and has heavy synth harmonies. It defines their style, showing they never sold out.
The end is a bit bitter for me. It marks the end of another band that I grew up listening too. Many bands such as Underoath, The Chariot, and many others are leaving the scene, and I am not to fond of the new styles. It is really hitting me that music is changing.
The single off this album is Stranger Ways. Check out the video here.

Second Album
Hey guys. This weeks album Empty Hands & Heavy Hearts by Close Your Eyes. This album is amazing. If your looking for something to fill you with emotion, encouragement, and real life lyrics, this is the album for you. This albums roots are based of raw, pure, and aggressive punk/hardcore. This band pretty much just pours their hearts out in this album, and that is why it is so good! It was release in 2011 and had four singles. They include Valleys, Erie, Carry You, and Keep The Lights On. The bridge in Keep The Lights On is so good, just watch the pure emotion in their music video.

First Blog Post/Introduction
Hello everyone! I am very pumped that you have decided to check out my blog! The goal of this blog is to help introduce people to some great music and artworks. Each week I will be posting about my favorite album of that week as well as some background on it and it's artwork. I will also be posting random artworks during the week and talking about what I believe to be portrayed in that artwork.
I would also love for everyone to post responses to my post as well as give me some artist to look at who are similar to the artist that I posted.
This first weeks album is I Am Hollywood by He Is Legend. This album combines post-hardcore with some southern style rock. The vocals in this album are remarkable. The single of this album was The Seduction.
Check it out and give me some comments and opinions!
