70% Drop in Levels of Forever Chemicals Observed in Seabird Eggs Tracks Regulatory Success

These pescatarian birds are directly exposed to PFAS contamination due to the island's position near the St. Lawrence Seaway.

Over fifty years of data show a peak in PFAS (also known as "forever chemicals") content in seabird eggs in the 90s, followed by a decrease as regulations went into effect. The most recent findings show a 70% decrease of most common PFAS.

While continued vigilance a regulation is needed, this data indicates that regulations are working to reduce PFAS concentrations in marine ecosystems.

Yes!!!! I did a review of literature on PFASs in human drinking water about half a year ago, and there is a lot of really good progress! Please celebrate this, please don't let this solution be forgotten (at least so quickly) as the ozone layer or acid rain.

We are making genuine progress! Producers are dramatically altering how much they use PFAS and how much gets released in effluent, but also there's a lot better understanding of how to remove PFAS from the environment!

People who think marinetes wrong for lying I feel like need to remember the superpowered circumstances

Marinette was going to tell Adrien about the letter until she saw that Adrien’s Heartbreak is enough to get her Akumatized, as the holder of the Ladybug Miraculous that’s not a risk she can take, she can’t gamble that seeing Adrien suffer from this realization won’t get her akumatized again which would jeopardize her handing the ladybug miraculous right to Chrysalis

And at this point she can’t just hand off her miraculous to someone else, last time she did that Monarch got his hands on the miraculous and they had to be taken back, plus who’d she hand them too? She can’t give them to Alya she’d know that and easily take them from her, she can’t have Tikki hand them to a rando, Marinette would fold any inexperienced holder

Marinette also knows the identities of every holder but cat noir, if she got Akumatized, it also jeopardizes all of the miraculouses

Now there’s the risk of Adrien getting Akumatized, and while Marinette doesn’t know hes cat noir there’s still major consequences that happen if he gets akumatized

In the 2 timelines where Adrien get Akumatized Marinette dies, (I’ve heard that they made it cannon she dies in the one where hawkmoth throws her)

If Adrien gets akumatized that jeopardizes the cat miraculous

the chance of chrysalis thrashing them is way too high for Marinette to be risking it

Most important occurrences in Wreckless Driver:

1. Adrien is going to therapy (it took almost a decade but it happened #AgresteTherapyGate2025)

2. Adrien learned about Autism. He needs to share this knowledge with Kagami so they can both finally get diagnosed.

They nailed the explanation for Autism without relying on stereotypes and actually addressed the main source of issues (neurotypical society). We've seen Max Kante be competent, intelligent and kind both as a regular person and as a Miraculous Holder, this is amazing representation especially at a time like this.

Low-key? Good on them for taking Luka out of the pedestal that he's perfect and completely over Marinette and very mature and chill.
