real talk I think steampunk is kinda neat like sorta neat you'know like as a little touch of spice to a setting that shouldn't normally have that kinda stuff. like a robot arm here a gun there some contraptions elsewheres. like skies of arcadia levels of steampunk is pretty much ideal. but y'see ultimately I'm pro-steampunk as a concept. but real talk for a second if your setting has a place called "the clockwork [location or concept]" I'm gonna beat you to death with hammers.

i'm so glad they introduced the .webp. every time i saved a jpeg from the internet before i would always think to myself, "this is too simple and indulgent; how can i better glorify God through labor when i am saving a reaction image?" and the Lord did answer with His glorious new format and i speak His praises every time i must select "all filetypes" and manually enter ".jpg" after the filename. amen.

I think the thing I like about "slop" as a term, despite certain efforts to the contrary, is that it's irrevocably linked to corporate art-by-committee AI paint by numbers content. There is indie art that might not be good, fanfiction like a cake that's 99% frosting by volume. But I would never call those things "slop"

A group of Wikipedia editors have formed WikiProject AI Cleanup, “a collaboration to combat the increasing problem of unsourced, poorly-written AI-generated content on Wikipedia.” The group’s goal is to protect one of the world’s largest repositories of information from the same kind of misleading AI-generated information that has plagued Google search results, books sold on Amazon, and academic journals. “A few of us had noticed the prevalence of unnatural writing that showed clear signs of being AI-generated, and we managed to replicate similar ‘styles’ using ChatGPT,” Ilyas Lebleu, a founding member of WikiProject AI Cleanup, told me in an email. “Discovering some common AI catchphrases allowed us to quickly spot some of the most egregious examples of generated articles, which we quickly wanted to formalize into an organized project to compile our findings and techniques.”
