      it wasn’t often people actually sought out sumia for her fortunes rather than to yell at her for being clumsy and destroying something of value to them specifically. it was quite a shock when people specifically asked for her fortunes. though the situation was made EQUALLY awkward when sumia’s tent was so torn apart because of her losing the book she was reading. she asked for a second, only just a second, before she stuffed it all into a chest and returned with a big smile.

      ❝ just asking. . . you do actually want a fortune, right? ❞ she pushed her fingers together, obviously embarrassed. there was a slightly TIMID smile on her tan features, though her eyes were hopeful. surely she’d heard nix right, otherwise she would be so embarrassed. ❝ because i have so many flowers! you just have to tell me what your absolute favorite color is, and then i’ll start reading. ❞

                 It wasn’t often that Orochi got free time away from her divination materials. Her days were often filled with tea leaves, bones, fires, incense, and tarot cards, among other things. Today, though, her personal reading suggested that the fresh air and new environment would help her get a better understanding on her situation. Never one to argue with spirits, Orochi wandered around camp, hoping for any signs of her daughter. Caeldori had mentioned that Miasu had been at the edges of camp last she knew. 

                 Hearing a soft voice in the distance, Orochi stayed a few trees away, just observing the girl. “Looking at the stars is a very common way to tell the future. Flowers can only hold so much knowledge.” She finally spoke up, still a bit away.

      the poor young diviner practically jumped out of her skin hearing the sound of such a familiar voice. how long had her mother been standing there, and what did she hear exactly? just a few moments earlier, sumia was cursing up a storm. well, not REAL cursing, but rather her own way of cursing. she could never say the things niles or people like him said. they were just too harsh, and filled with stronger meaning.

      ❝ t-the stars? ❞ her head cocked to the side. she knew that. kind of. the others would tell her about it, but the nights were so dark and stormy, the stars were hidden behind the clouds, so she couldn’t exactly ask them anything. nonetheless, excitement showed in her dark gray eyes. ❝ are the SKIES clear here so i can ask them? i’ve been wanting to try asking the stars, but they keep closing the door on me! so instead i’ve resorted to flowers. they were kind of nice, but it takes a special kind of flower, too. . . ❞

      the flowers for today’s fortunes were all good, she was excited to use them. especially when she promised yesterday just after she told him she’d run out of flowers. he looked so sad, which was why she promised to read it for him when she had MORE flowers! it was the least she could do, after katsuma helped her pick flowers so long ago. sumia would always remember those kinds of favors, so she could return them when the time was right.

      ❝ okay, are you ready? ❞ she asked, but without waiting, began to start picking his flower. just as she expected, the outcome was good. lots of good fortune, and plenty of luck too. one part was vague, but since she couldn’t tell what the flower meant about that part, she SKIPPED mentioning it. ❝ wow, you’re one lucky man you know. so many good things, it was hard to keep track of all of them! ❞

Every able bodied soldier was needed for the upcoming battle.The Vallite soldiers had grown stronger. Their ranks seeming to grow in number at the same time as the Nohrian and Hoshidan armies. They could fight and fight and yet the invisible Hell spawns never seemed to stop coming. But Kamui had given most of them hope. A plan to defeat the Silent Dragon that pulled the strings that made them all look like puppets.

Leo had been prepping himself when he spotted the foreseer’s daughter sitting idly in the grass. Not a speck of armor on her as she seemed to be playing with something or other. Had Orochi not informed her child that they were to be marching soon?

A sigh escaped him before he made his way over. She wasn’t his child and if he had the time he would have gone to find that damned diviner and tell her to prepare her daughter for battle. But with what little time they had he supposed he would cut to the chase.

Leo quirked a brow at the petals that seemed to surround the girl. Was she…plucking flower petals? For what purpose was there to ruin a perfectly good and thriving plant?

“Might I ask just what exactly you are doing? We march in a matter of minutes.”

      did he just imply what she thought he did? if he actually thought miasu could fight then. . . oh her thought was mean, she couldn’t even think it without feeling some sort of guilt. he was just being so silly though! there was no way they’d take a girl like her out to fight, especially when she had no experience. when they found her, she was especially useless with no WEAPON to call her own. to keep them away form her, she would just kinda smack anyone if they got within breathing distance of her and popped her personal bubble.

      ❝ i’m supposed to stay here, and await training from someone else that’s staying, ❞ not that she wanted to disrespect a prince, but. . . she also didn’t want to bring down the rest of the army with her uselessness. ❝ i’m just passing the time while i wait. if he has to go too, then i can just sit here and make sure everyone RETURNS in one piece. that’s what i’m good for most of the time, anyway. ❞

      fingers pulled the next petal off now, opting to instead ignore him. maybe he’d go away if he never got a reaction from her. normally people left her alone when they saw her awkward attempts at not talking. she wasn’t worth the effort, and rarely ever had anything interesting to talk about. people learned that pretty early on, so admittedly she was rather LONELY watching all the other kids talk among each other except for her.

      him. she remembered him. how could sumia ever forget? the war with plegia was still fresh in her mind, so of course she’d remember the cause for it. why he was now APART of the army, she just couldn’t understand. for once, she thought, maybe chrom was just more forgiving than she possibly was. but if he was willing to give the former king a chance, then maybe she should as well. . . fine, she’d read his fortune but only for a moment. the petals fell as she picked, checked, and tossed them to the ground.

      ❝ th-this is quite odd, ❞ she hesitates for a moment, her brows furrowing more. though not out of DISLIKE for the former king, but more out of confusion. why were they doing that? this flower was supposed to be perfect, and yet. ❝ they won’t tell me what your future holds. it’s all just vague and slightly ominous. ❞

ooc.what keeps me happy? i don’t know, i tend to get upset reallyeasily, and there’s not a lot that keeps me happy. uhh this isactually harder to answer than most things so i’m gonna move on andcome back if i remember anything

asfor sweet things, that’s a lot easier to answer. i’m pretty oldnews in the fandom, so it doesn’t happen that often, but sometimesi’ll get really sweet people in the tags telling me they love how iroleplay sumia, or nyx, or my two oc’s and tbh it always makes mesmile and hide my face

smalldetails are like purple prose. a lot of people are annoyed with it,but i don’t mind eyes being called hues. i like the aesthetic ofit. and all that kind of aesthetic shit, it makes it look pretty andi’m a sucker for pretty things. not that i don’t mind basic, buti just like pretty things a little more

musicwill always bring out my muse! i have a playlist for all mycharacters, except sumia. finding songs for her is really hard, andif anybody has any recommendations, i’d love to hear it! other thanthat, music will always help, and listening to the wrong music, ormusic i associate with other characters kinda takes me out of themuse i was playing
