The problem is that someone will still become president if you don't vote, and it's most likely going to be Trump, because the only people pushing "don't vote" are people who hate Biden. So their only targets are Biden voters. And everyone loyal for Trump is going to vote for Trump again. So all you're doing, by telling people not to vote, is ensuring Trump becomes president.

I cried when Trump got elected the first time. My campus mourned. People came together to mourn together because we knew the pain the next 4 years had in store for us. The idea of enduring another Trump presidency is enough to get me to vote for literally anyone else.

It’s hard to articulate exactly what I mean, however the intent isn’t to secretly ensure Trump gets a win because statistically speaking he’s also on everybodies shit list.

My logic behind what I said is that by rolling over and picking the one that isn’t openly terrible is that you’re fundamentally agreeing to another four years of the exact same thing. Nothing changed politically speaking after trump left. Children are still in cages, there’s still multiple genocides and wars that the US is participating in and defending, there’s still lead in flint Michigan’s water, the Supreme Court is still making choices that set civil rights movements back by decades, etc… Regardless of who anybody chooses come fall the outcome will remain the same.

In America your freedom is defined nearly exclusively by choice. Choosing which guy gets to sit in a fancy office is one of the big ones, and I don’t think your logic is wrong. you’re right, trump is abhorrent and shouldn’t be given anymore power than what he’s already been given but from my perspective it’s ultimately the same argument for Biden.

Also if you did read this I just really wanna emphasize that this isn’t an attack or anything, I don’t know you and your perspective is entirely valid.
