I have decided to rewatch every single pixar movie released so far chronologically and draw a scene from each - here we have my entry for Coco (2017) Â
[ID: traditional art of Héctor and Imelda from Coco at their wedding, drawn viewed from above with just their heads, arms and Imelda's dress visible. They are dancing a slow dance and both have one arm around the other and the other hand in each other's. Imelda is laying her head on Héctor's shoulder so a part of her face is visible. Her hair is in her usual braided bun with white ribbons. She is wearing a long dress with a large ruffle at it's neck and long sleeves. It's white with pale gold tones. Héctor is wearing a white mariachi suit with gold embroidery. The floor that is the background is a light brown. End ID]

âThats what I heardâ ;3
Hola, HĂ©ctor! Did you give a gift to Imelda? Did you bring flowers to her for Valentine's Day? â€ïž
Hector: âOf course, amigo! But even today I found these for her!â
âI donât need a special dayâŠ.â
ââŠFor me every single day with Imelda is special! And every time I have the opportunity I take flowers for her!â <3

Hola! Sorry for the delay ⊠:-D I had received some ask for Valentineâs day, but I couldnât answer!<3
Inktober Day 3 - âMemoriesâ
Itâs been confirmed that Imelda died in her seventies.
Héctor died at twenty-one.
Unless Imelda was seventy-nine, Coco lived longer than both of her parents combined.

Imelda's temper in a nutshell đ„
Don't forget that underlining slap on the table!
Life note :
Don't mess with Imelda ~
I still have those big appreciation posts to do I'd planned since forever đ”âđ«
I love you guysâŠ
Buenos dĂas HĂ©ctor.
My question is, has a person ever been confused thinking that Imelda is your mother, due to the fact that she is much older than you?
Hector: "Oh, You see⊠It's very hard for such a thing to happen in the land of the dead! I mean, there are so many people who tragically lose their lives earlier than expected⊠So it's not uncommon to see couples who appear very different in age! In short, it's normal here, usually we tend to interact without assuming what the family ties are between the members of a specific family, so if you need to know, you always ask..."
"...BUT⊠It wasn't our case! Yep⊠Unfortunately it happened in a way! Our situation was very particular, Imelda has a large clientele and many people know her and consequently know all about our family⊠I had the "newcomer" period within the "shoe making" family-business and well⊠They all thought I was the nephew at first!"
-
Imelda: "Hector, I'll take care of the clients! Please, place these in the shelf of the shoes to restore and polish!"
Hector: "Third shelf on the right! I got it! Consider it done!"
Customer: "Poor dear! The boy is so young! Is he your nephew right?"
Imelda: "Ehmmm... No, actually, he's my husband... We haven't been together for a long time but......"
Customer: "Oh, Wait... What? Is that the man who abandoned you with a little girl to raise?!?!" đ
Imelda: "........ Si... I mean NO! It's a long story! Many things have changed now!" đł
-
Hector: "Let's just say it was an embarrassing time!" đ
-
My headcanon is that it must not have been easy for Hector in the early days! Some customers, especially the ladies friends of Imelda, were confused by this reconciliation...! đ
I havenât read enough Imector fics to know if this sort of thing has been addressed enough but if it hasnât then we need more fics that address this đđ
PLEASE REBLOG, DONâT REPOST! YOU DO NOT HAVE MY PERMISSION TO UPLOAD THIS TO PINTEREST OR ANY OTHER WEBSITE.
This is not official! I donât even really know if this even looks good enough that Iâd need to say that, but, y'know, just in case, no, this is not official. This is an idea thatâs been nagging at me for a while and wouldnât go away, so I finally decided to make a mock-up poster for it.
And to get this out of the way, yes, I did trace a bitâImelda was partially traced from Miguel and the Amazing Alebrijes and HĂ©ctor was partially traced from the sticker set. ⊠And then most of the background was painted over the original poster I made this from. I wanted to emulate the Miguel and the Amazing Alebrijes style and make sure I got the setup of the poster right, so a bit of tracing was necessary. With that out of the wayâŠ
Iâve daydreamed a lot about the idea of a Coco animated series and what it would entail. In all likelihood, if there ever WERE an animated series, it would probably be focused on Miguel and/or Socorro, post-movie, with B-plots featuring HĂ©ctor and the rest of the dead Riveras, and maybe occasionally Ernesto. I would guess that would be the thing Disney/Pixar would most likely go with if something like this ever happened, because kids like Miguel and would want to see him in a cartoon.
But even so, another idea struck me⊠What if a Coco animated series focused on⊠well⊠Coco? What if it was a prequel series? Again, I know itâs probably not likely, but⊠hear me out!

A Rivera Dia de Los Muertos selfie :)
Imelda sings a verse from âLa Lloronaâ when onstage, to HĂ©ctor.
Part of it goes:
Y aunque la vida me cueste llorona
No dejaré de quererte
Which translates as:
âAnd even if it costs my life, weeping woman
I wonât stop loving you.â
But it wasnât loving that cost Imelda her lifeâŠ
It cost Héctor his life.
It cost his life, but Héctor never stopped loving Imelda or Coco.
He wanted to go home. Why did he want to go home? To see his wife and daughter. And Ernesto killed him for it.
Iâm nearly ashamed to admit I never thought of it that way before
finally i have this commission done. Thanks for all the patience my luv @sheepwithspecs
