I just had this genius idea pop up in my head randomly and it just seemed so darn cute
The them in question: denji, future gohan.
Donāt ask about the lineup lol there was more but I scratched the other ideas
The thought crossed your mind after he saved you from a devil. It seemed like he was a nice boy after all, especially when he was getting attention from a woman he liked. You talked a couple times after the incident and you started to like him quite a bit so in your spare time youād took up knitting and make a long maroon scarf with his name embroidered in small letters at the end. The finishing touch being the heart sitting next to it.
You were proud of your work, it took a while to learn but, it was fun. Plus it was cold..winters in Japan are no joke what happened to being a island gyal??
Next time the two of you came across one other he greeted you in a fond matter, which made your heart rate speed up exponentially. It was beating so fast if you got close enough you were sure he could see it.

You whipped out a small package wrapped in festive wrapping paper and held it out to him. He switched between staring at you to staring at the gift in awe as of asking if he could open it now before he gently took it out of your hands.
The blonde said while his fingers fiddled with the white ribbon that was neatly tied at the center of the package before glancing at you, who watched his hands with a kind smile on your lips. You nod towards the gift as you speak.

When the words left your mouth you heard the paper rip instantly, revealing some weeks worth of patience and perseverance. When finally you look at his face again and canāt help but giggle a bit at his reaction.
His mouth is nearly open stuck in a āš® expression as he examined the scarf, grinning when he sees his name at the end. Butterflies swarm and flutter in your stomach at the sight.
āSo like, you made this? For me?ā
Brown eyes dart to you immediately which makes you nervous but when he smiles your way with those pointed but adorable teeth of his it melts everything away almost instantly.

You muster up the courage to finish the thought running through your head.
āAnd by giving you something else.ā
Before he could say anything in response you lean into him and peck him on the cheek leaving him and you stunned if weāre being fair. You werenāt expecting him to react so fast though..
It was supposed to be a āsmooch and goā but the instant your plush lips met his face the teens hand was instantly placed on the back of your head, as he guided you to his lips, prolonging the kiss.
With a soft pop the lip locking came to a end. Leaving you embarrassed like no other.
āWell..I gotta go! Hope your like your gift. Both of em!ā
You pretty much sprint away from him after that like your life depended on it with a hammering heart in your chest.

Although heās usually out fighting and trying to protect what little is left in this timeline he somehow nearly always finds time to spend with you. Of course you love it since wellā¦you love him, even if he doesnāt quite know it yet.
Since he works so hard to protect you, trunks and bulma + anyone thatās still alive, it only made sense you did something in return. To show gratitude if nothing else. You also planned on telling him about your feelings forreal this time; after you had a full blown conversation with yourself about it in the mirror about it of course.

Instantly, your shoulders tense and you spin around to face the man that invaded your inner thoughts, who leaned on the doorframe locking eyes with you with a worried expression.
āY/n? Is something wrong?ā
The black haired male questions walking towards you a bit, at which you smile a bit at, he seemed so worried and it was cute..heartwarming in fact.
āNo, no, Iām fine itās just that ummmā¦actually never mind!ā
Unable to face him any longer without exploding into bits you turn back around even though it was to no avail since he could clearly see the face you were making in the mirror, already knowing it was only gonna make the worried expression on his face even more intense. He tries walking closer to you again, this time not stopping until heās right behind you, scanning over your features from over your shoulder.
āYou sure? You know you can tell me anything..and Iāll always listen.ā
He nearly pleads with furrowed brows.
You sigh and look down at the little box in the corner of the vanity before looking back at him and nervously smiling, holding a hand out in a gesture that silently asked him to give you his in return.
āI wanted to be a bit more prepared but here we are. I can promise itās nothing to be so worried about though..I think?ā
The half sayainās silence beckoned you to continue.
āYou know, youāve done so much for me..and I care about you a lot. Iāve wanted to do all I can to support you as a friend so Iām sorry if this makes you uncomfortable or makes you think differently of me but, I think of you as more than a friend. Youāre so kind, strong, caring and selfless..I- umm wanted to do something for you for once! I mean regardless of how you feel about me..ā
You blurted everything out nearly all at once, barely stopping for a breath in between. Your checks felt hot if he couldnāt see it, your hands were clammy to be able to tell you were nervous. Couldnāt even hold eye contact with the man in front of you; who stared at you intently. Almost shamefully you eyes were glued to your legs.
āY/nā¦ I care about you too. And knowing this doesnāt make me uncomfortable. Not at all.ā
He gives the hand he was holding a reassuring squeeze before letting go as he tries to catch your now watering eyes again.
āI feel the same way about you. Donāt feel like you have to repay me, I do everything I do for you because I want to because well, I like you. I love being around you.ā
He smiles at you kindly, reaching to move a stray curl out of the way. The action and his words melts your heart into soup, you donāt hesitate to wrap your arms around his neck in a hug. He indulges and wraps his arm around your waist lifting you with ease twirling the both of you around before setting you back down with a bit of a chuckle escaping him. Arm still around your waist.
āYou..really mean all of that?ā
āOf course. I wouldnāt just say something like like now would I?ā
He assures you, kissing your forehead lovingly.
āYouāre right..and Oh! I almost forgot!ā
You perk a bit which makes him confused as you quickly wiggle out of his hug and retrieve the box and present it to him.
āSo it aināt much but I hope you like it! And hope you donāt think itās too odd..ā
Gohan raises a brow and unties the ribbon to reveal a mini crochet version of himself, you and trunks.
āBe sure to give trunks his okay?ā
You gently say, smiling sweetly at him; a tad bit embarrassed but proud of your hard work learning a new craft.
He asks, staring and softening at the miniature version of u with adoration (so tiny and cute lol)
You laugh and kiss his cheek and his ears start to turn red.
