Hello! I’m Radio and this is my Call of duty blog! This is mainly gonna be about black ops series, WaW included. (Yes, World at war is a black ops game. Don’t forget the origins of Viktor Reznov and Dimitri Petrenko).

Okay so I feel like I should say this now before someone makes assumptions-
If we ever refer to Raul Menendez as “daddy” in a post, do not assume that we are calling him that for sexual reasons. We do not romantically yumeship with Raul. Only familialy.
I know that I likely don’t need to make this post and that people will likely understand, but people tend to get squirm-ish whenever the word “daddy” gets involved, even if the context is 100% innocent and sfw. The term daddy isn’t inherently sexual so I ask that you guys keep any sexual ideas out of your head when you see the word daddy in a post. If the context is not sexual, then please do not take it as sexual.

since we're back on this for the thousandth time i'm finally gonna say what i think about it because i #CANNOTSHUTUP so. and this is a somewhat long post so i cut it off
i fully believe that adbell is a darkship no matter what way you spin it, and if you have to create an entire au just because you refuse to acknowledge that, you cannot handle complex relationships in media or complex (not that i would consider bocw very complex as it is still a cod game but) media itself if you absolutely NEED something to ship. if you take this as an attack, that just goes to show that you can't acknowledge it and you just don't like people critiquing how you present it.
with that being said, i do not think that people should be harassed over either opinion on it, including hate campaigns or posts outside of the post you're directly talking about.
but, it being a darkship isn't my primary gripe; it's about how it's portrayed. i fully believe that toxic dynamics can absolutely be portrayed in a well, non-romanticized manner, and i even think it's good to show that because it makes people acknowledge the reality of it!! but it being so heavily romanticized or just straight up denied is WHY it's normalized and why so many people can't acknowledge or understand it.
Adbell is not a complex ship and I’m so sick of all its shippers.
Adbell is a darkship but you guys just absolutely refuse to believe that and just water it down to toxic yaoi. It’s basically manipulator x victim. I’ve been saying this but everyone just likes to ignore the fact that Bell is a victim of MK-Ultra.
Now for those who played Black Ops Cold War with their eyes closed and ears shut, MK ultra is not something fiction and is a real brainwashing program that was done by the CIA, you need to research about it and realise that this programming was absolutely disgusting, disturbing and completely inhumane.
Adler brainwashed Bell USING that program, it’s quite literally said at the end of the game. Adler killed Bell after the last mission, there is nothing romantic about their trope.
Even then, during the start of the game, when Arash Kadivar shot Bell, Adler wouldn’t care if they bled out, he only saved Bell because he needed intel on where Perseus is. Stop romanticising disgusting tropes like this.
The safe house crew as parents and maybe their kids work with them and get kidnapped or captured. How would they all react ? Rampage fuelled by fear and rage or maybe cold and calculated planning ?

Adler
No screw ups allowed
Adler would have the urge to go off on his own and take care of business himself, but he knows better
Meticulous planning, won't get any sleep until he knows his kid is safe and sound
This was exactly WHY he didn't want his child to work with the CIA, and now it feels like his fault for not keeping a closer eye on them
If one of his teammates are fooling around or taking it easy right before the op, he snaps at them
Do not, under any circumstances, get in his way, he probably won't notice you with the tunnel vision he has going on
Hudson
His kid is the priority objective no exceptions, this stony man cares deeply about his own family
Best of the best on the rescue squad
Hudson tried his utmost best to make sure nothing would give away the connection between him and his child but it eventually happened
Internal conflict of whether to go on the mission, or to let others do the work, it would be a bit unprofessional and unpredictable if he, as the parent, where to go on the mission
There was no room for mistakes, emotions might botch his decision making skills
But then again, he couldn't fully afford to place his trust on the people he elected for the mission, despite working alongside with them for years, so he reluctantly joins
Lazar
Familiar relationships comes first on his list
So to say that his own flesh and blood is out there in the abyss of danger just gives him a range of emotions
Does his best to quell them, but it's the subtle details of such as the grip has on whatever he's holding or the sudden control of his voice that gives it away
Lazar's the weapon specialist, so he'll spend extra time checking up on everything
He becomes strangely quiet on the following mission, but you could see from his victims that he was merciless
Mason
He may have a track record for being the worst dad but fuck
If his own kid isn't safe and sound he's going to lose it
Will rally up his own little squad, or go solo, for a rescue op if no one else doesn't act fast enough
Becomes really sullen and somber during the hours leading up to the operation, so you might need to call out to him a couple times before he responds
Tries not to overthink everything, and attempts to go with the flow like he usually does but Mason finds himself to be tense and on edge
Park
she already has an array of things she would like to subject the captor to
On the outside she tries not to overreact, but on the chance that she's alone she breaks, conflicted with anger and fear
Park needs to ensure the rescue op is at the highest success rate, and will do everything to have the best chances
Time to pull every string she has with the MI6, any bits of info she can get, she will have it
She already lost her brother years back, and now she didn't want to lose another
Sims
He loves his kid
Someone had to stop him from storming out of the room upon being told what happened
Sims partially blames himself, knowing that his own kid wanted to follow in his footsteps, but he wanted to be the supportive dad
And this was the shit that happens
since he’s a man of connections, he makes sure to use them.
his laid back personality kind of shifts, he doesn’t crack as much jokes
Woods
Whoever decided to even lay a dirty finger on HIS offspring is fucking dead
Hudson already struggles to keep Woods in check, but at this rate not even Mason could hold him down
Demands to be put on the team, leader or not
needs to be reminded not to "go loud" for the sake of minimal damage and attention
He equips extra supplies, just for assurance
It's hard to read him in such a mental state— Woods is lost and pissed at the same time
Oh my god. I get that Adler is cool and all, and a lot of us like manipulative/toxic men, but the fact that he has almost twice as much /reader content on ao3 as Woods, Alex Mason, and David Mason combined is ridiculous.
