It is not a sharp blade but it can hurt like one. It can cut you so deep without seeing it in your own eyes, and yet you can feel the torture that comes with the pain brought by it. It is similar to a bullet that could strike within you, but it cannot be healed or rather, forgotten.

“Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me…” Psalm 23:4, NKJV

Have you ever gone through something that felt like the valley of the shadow of death? It’s easy to get discouraged during the tough times. But I love what it says in today’s verse, “though I walk through.”

No matter what you are facing today, know this: you are not alone, and you are just walking through. You don’t have to stop and live in the tough times! They are only temporary. Don’t allow fear to paralyze you in the middle of “the valley of the shadow of death.” God is with you. He is walking beside you. He is strengthening you. He is making a way of escape for you. He is lining up people and situations to bring you out of that tough place into a place of strength and victory!

Why don’t you get a vision of your life on the other side of that trial. See yourself more loving, more faithful, stronger and more blessed than before. Keep moving forward and keep walking through. Press forward into the victory God has prepared for you!

Prayer for Today:

“Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Thank You for walking with me even in the hard times. I trust that You are taking me through my circumstances to a place of victory and strength in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

5th year

After being able to successfully finish my first degree (Accounting Technology), here I am again, battling for a degree in Accountancy which I have always dreamed of having since 1st year.

The past 4 years of my college life were really tough, but now is much more different. In 5th year, there is certainly more pressure because we’re being molded to be prepared for the upcoming war, which is the board exam. Studying, facing complex accounting problems everyday, solving what seems to be unsolvable, nerve-wracking recitations in law, mind-boggling seatworks and quizzes, and out-of-this-world exams. Subjects like financial accounting 1, 2, and 3 which we took for 3 semesters in lower years are being discussed in our P1 subject, which is good for 1 semester..so just imagine how fast-paced it is. It is really just a mere review of what we have learned in the past.

But then, what is there to fear? I’ve already survived 4 years of this course. Ngayon pa ba ako susuko? With God, I can do it. (Philippians 4:13) :)

I can’t wait for that day that I’ll be able to say, “I SURVIVED BSA!”

Distance

Surely, being miles away from the one you love sucks big time. It makes missing them even more harder because you can't do anything about it. But then, there's a bright side about it.. Distance makes time spent together more meaningful and cherished. You will get that feeling of unexplainable joy and relief when you're finally together after waiting for how many days. And you can finally say, "all the waiting is all worth it".

A year from now I’ll be attending the formal review classes, and just thinking about it gives me some panic attacks. Whoa. I only have a year left to be ready.

Last April 28, we went to CPAR to reserve for the Oct. 2016 board exam. You might think it’s too early but..no. The seats in the morning classes were almost filled already. But thank goodness there were still some vacant seats! And fortunately, I was able to get one of the seats in the middle since I do not want to be seated at the back of the room because of my nearsightedness. So a piece of advice to those who want to reserve at CPAR, make your reservation a year before your actual review so you could still choose your preferred rooms and seats especially if you want to enroll in morning classes. 👍

I can’t believe I’m only a few steps away to becoming a CPA! Thank You, Lord! :)

One of the best nights ever! It was our first time to watch The Script live. I actually didn’t expect it to be a bomb, but it was really awesome and it exceeded my expectations! The Script made sure that everyone will enjoy the show. And I guess, everyone did! I sang the lyrics of my favorite songs with all my heart like there’s no tomorrow - it’s such a good feeling! + Silent Sanctuary as the front act! Everything in the tour was just so good! But being with the guy I love made it more memorable for me.

More concerts with you, yes please? :)

I've reached to a point wherein I was so sure of giving up with my dreams because of my failures. My mind wanted to venture into another path, another dream for me to pursue. I felt so confused at that point in time because I didn't know what to do — to pursue my dream or just let it go because maybe, I am just not for it? To end up my confusion, I've prayed to God for an answer. And He wanted me to trust His plans for me and so I gladly obeyed. I started erasing my doubts and continued to chase what I really wanted, because He wouldn't let me go this far if it was not one of His plans for me. Is it the time for me to give up? No. I took my setbacks not as a discouragement but as a motivation for me to work harder. And right now, I am grateful to have experienced these failures. Why? Because it made me closer to Him, and it lead me to where I am now — a step closer to my dreams and to His plans. God turned my life 180 degrees — but in a good, good way! Thank You, God.

You joined MNA 2014 right? What was the questions that usually asked during the screening? Please give me some tips too when joining pageants :)

Pardon me if I've read this just now. The questions asked during the screening were mostly just about me. Like "Tell me about yourself" stuff and the interviewer asked me why did I join and what would be my advocacy if I ever win. Just prepare and be yourself and everything will go smoothly. Best of luck to you! :)

Up to now, I am still amazed. The things that I'd like to have and moments I'd want to happen but kept inside my mind (because after all, I'm not expecting it to happen) - it all happened. Is this some kind of magic? Or it's just that the universe had this kind of vibration from me and fortunately, it gave me what I wanted. Right now, I am just really thankful. 😊
